Called multiple times and ***g up each time.

This number continues to call, the Caller I.D. stating 'unknown name' so we do not answer.  They, w***ver 'they' are, only let the phone ring a few times, never leave a message, in fact don't stay on the line long enough for our answering ma****e to pick it up.  They call morning, noon and night, sometimes six times or more a day.  Does anyone know who this person, place is?  It is stated, when I tried looking the number up, from Irving, Texas.  I don't know anyone from Irving, Texas.  I tried blocking the number - no use.  Why is it the phone companies don't allow these annoying calls to be blocked!  Makes one angry.
