Wish they would quit calling

How are these numbers listed on the website www.texasfop.com presumably connected with 4697180659?Phone #: 800-386-5148In Bryan: 512-832-1367Fax #: 512-832-0880This is a recession, and there are lots of scam artists out there.  Ask for a mailing, and check out phone numbers and addresses and organizations online.  The other day we almost allowed two strangers into our home who were selling insurance.  And we made them wait at the door while we checked out their business card info online.  Nothing could be found on the internet.  if so****ing doesn't match up, don't pay out, or give away any personal information.

Just called my cell phone but didn't leave a message. If it is in fact from the Fraternal Order of police, there is another number they call from:

When you call you have to press 2 to be removed then you have to press 5 to be put on the do not call list and THEN you have to talk to a representative that keeps trying to get you to donate money. So what's the use of even telling them to take you off the call list if they are just going to bug you to donate when you don't want to in the first place?

The FOP is doing a lot of really great things for Texas police officers and the people that call are trying to help them raise money so they can do even more good.

I called the number back and a message identified it as a charitable organization raising funds for the Fraternal Order of Police.

It is the Texas ***ernal Order of Police... if you call back there is a recording and you can take your number off the call list.

The caller ID identified the caller as TX FOP. They requested to talk to me and ask for me to help by donating cash. I'm not sure what it was for though.

S****ed getting calls from this number on 1-20-2010. They left no message.
