Leave a CommentLegit. Tomorrow is a delay for my base! Woohoo!
The 478-327-2390 is an Air Force Reserve Command automated alert system. The phone number or cell number must have once belonged to a military person. I am retired and had to contact my old unit and Air Reserve Personnel Center (ARPC) to remove my phone out of the Military Personnel Data System (MILPDS). Since you do not know the SS# of the person that owned the cell/phone# previously, ARPC may not be able to remove the number out of their system. Suggestion: contact the public affairs office at Warner Robins Air Force Base in Macon, Georgia and see what they can do to help you. Go to the Warner Robins Air Force Base website to look up their number. Good luck.
Good idea to test the system once in a while, but this Colonel kinda retired more than a year ago. Love the automated system...
This is Air Force Reserve Recall system. It is legit.
I've been receiving calls from this number every Sunday. It always says so****ing about a tor***o watch, even though the weather is perfect. I'm not even in the Air Force so I don't know why they'd be calling me.
This is a legit phone number from the Air Force Reserve Command! It only applies to personnel in the Air Force, such as myself, so if you get this phone call, and you are not in the military, then don't worry about it!
Just received a call a***n, no message left. I also received an email from " The Air Force Reserve Command " it said it was a test email and to respond. I called my UA he said not to respond. It was from a .com website.
This is a ligit phone number it is the new AFRC recall system. If you have questions about it- it is normally run by your command post.
I just got a call from this number... and it only said to "press 1 for an important message". I wont listen to the message if I don't know who is calling. Plus, I'm in the Air Force reserves and I've gotten recall calls before, but they clearly state that they are calling from USAF.
Funny, I'm USAFR, and I had never heard it was a weekly test every Wed. You're totally right though. I checked my phone records and every Wed I get this call. Kind of annoying.
It is the USAF Reserves Emergency Management System testing the recall or emergency contact roster. I called Robbins AFB and the operator verified that every Wednesday they test their recall system. We got a call because my spouse just deployed. Mystery solved folks!
I tried to call the number back and it was not a good number. The original caller was trying to solicit personal information under the guise of Air Force Personnel Center. AFPC will not request personal info over a phone recording. They already have all the info they need on AF members on file. This sounds like a SCAM!
it seems to be an AF Reserve auto message testing the recall system.
this is legit! depending on your job, most likely part-time, it is a good number calling you; that is if you know what a dsn or gstp is!
Only said "You have an important message, press 1".. based out of Macon, GA
