Leave a CommentFTA is a legitimate company offering special processing to companies that can fit the correct risk profile. They are the only company in a large umbrella of processors that can offer these services without markups by resellers. I dont agree with how they try to contact merchants and how they are rude over the phone, but they are legitimate and they services do save merchants about 40% on processing. The calls you receive are to verify information, but of course it always ends up with wanting your service. They trick themselves into thinking its not sales.
Got the same call fromMichael Davis with FTA. For retrun phone call gave me 800-323-1007x3870 and asked questions about the merchant account.....Sounds fishy to me
Called and phone rung 15-20 times before able to take call. Man on phone had to speak with the owner in reference to his merchant services account. We don't have one. He continued to drill when would he be back and told him next week and then he asked for his number-and I said I didn't know, and he said you don't know? Then he asked if there was anyone else there he could talk to and I said no, thankyou and ***gup.
This company has been harrassing us for years....in the beginning we listened to their spiel....then found out what a bunch of **** it was. Today, they called a***n. As usual, we told them we were not interested. They do not give up. This is NOT a sales call, they kept saying. Well, today, I called them back....and repeatedly told them not to call us a***n, then I continued to stay on the phone....told them I would play their game...kept asking them questions. She ***g up on me. Nothing seems to work. We have filed complaints with their company....they still call. Help!
Jamie just called from this number, would not give me any info. Said that it was important she speak to the owner regarding an administrative issue with our credit card processing. I told her we already had a credit card processor and did not want to make any c****es. She tried to make it sound like she was calling regarding our existing processor. She said she had left many messages and hadn't heard back from him. If she didn't hear back she would have to close the file, do I want her to close the file?? I was actually worried for a second, until I read these. Thanks.
Just got a call and the lady said I know I**x is no longer the owner may I speak to the current owner?" I reply "He is out of Town" She responded "What is her name?" So I said "If you don't know them I'm not going to tell you" and ***g up. She called back twice but I let it go to the answering ma****e. Now business owner info is public record where I live so she could easily find out. Sounded like the usual solicitations we receive early in the week every week.
We got a very similar call as described above. "Jerry" was very pushy with the first customer service rep he got on the line. She transferred him to the boss, who ended up ****ing up on him. He then called back, sounding very frustrated and wanting to know if he could try to explain himself a***n. I mentioned calling the authorities and reporting his company for harassment and he said he was closing out our "review" because it wasn't worth the trouble we were causing.
These guys called and asked if the owner was out back or in the store. Sounded like a friend of the owner, very slick talker. Caller id even said private and had the number. He called a***n, we ***g up and he called back, this continued for FOUR TIMES. On the final call I had googled his number and found this site a**** other complaints and informed him we knew this was a scam and not to call back. He shut right up and then quickly ***g up. So shady.

SCAMMERS fishing for info! Beware!
Caller left a message on my business line. "Chris"(was a dude) from FTA calling with concerns about my merchant account. Asked for "Bocephus" to call 1-800-323-1007 EXT. 3873 to straighten out the concerns.Problems with call:1) "Bocephus" is the ficticious name we established as "the owner" a few years ago. Always a tip off that it is a bogus call.2) My business doesn't have a merchant account. How can there be concerns about it?Don't waste your time with these folks.
Got the same call everyone on this page has recieved from some random broad named "Crystle" demanding to speak with the owner and willing to hold for a "infinite" period of time regarding a supposed "charge back" I knew off the bat it was not an official phone call because of the limited vocabulary this young lady had, she sounded like a mid 20's teeny bopper with a at***ude and a small chip on her shoulder. We went back and forth for a few minutes simply because my afternoon boredom forced me to stay on the phone and listen to her random nonsense she was babling. If you receive a call from any of these call center troopers be sure to let them know the simplicity of using google, or if you're feeling saucy go ahead and play a long a little and see if you can get a rise. Got a call from 480-214-8749, name on caller ID was "Private". Used very generic language: "I'm so and so from FTA and we work on your main account and you qualify for a lower rate, and we want to submit you for that lower rate but first we need to verify some information." When pressed, did not explain who or what "FTA" is or was, and the had no idea who our processor was. Told him to send the info through the mail.Checked with a friend who sells and services merchant accounts and she said it sounded like a scam. She has other clients who have gotten similar calls, and it sounds like fraud.
There is a girl who calls from this number, who is a total ******, her name is Jamie. Do not hand her to the boss, she is calling like she already has your account and states "It's really Important" then proceeds to harrass the boss to explain what she can offer in the way of reducing your rates with your credit card ma****e when you process payments. Totally not nice to me or to the boss when he was speaking with her. He ended up ****ing up on her, you can get a live person back if you dial 480-214-8749.
Caller was very evasive. Wanted info on our merchant account. My boss ***g up on him and he called back.
IDENTIFIED THEMSELVES AS IPTA AND SAID THEY NEEDED VERIFICATION TO TRANSFER FUNDS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN CARE OF IN FEB. I HAVE NO IDEA WHO THIS COMPANY IS. WHEN TRYING TO RETURN PHONE CALL ALL YOU GET IS THE PERSONS ANSWERING MA****E(CHRISTINA) WITH REQUEST TO LEQVE A DETAILED MESSAGE AND PHONE NUMBER AND THEY WOULD RETURN THE CALL. SAME THING HAPPENS IF YOU PUSH"O" FOR THE RECEPTIONIST.
