Leave a Commenti got call from racheal. lower credit card rate. i replied this is bobs orfphanage you make em we take em sorry wrong number
latest call from this was at 11:50 am 12-10-2010.at least 3x they called.did not recognize the # so did not pick it up.
I just got a call from them. I asked the woman if they where a credit card consolidation company and she couldn't give me a straight answer and transfered me to her supervisor. So the supervisor s****s telling me that they are not a credit consolidation company, they work for us, the consumers. He begins to tell me that he can lower the interest rate for all my credit cards. Then he asks me to s**** giving him my credit card numbers over the phone so he can s**** his research! I said I did not feel comfortable giving those over the phone and asked him why he didn't have this info, since he supposedly works in conjunction with these companies. He then tells me they are legitimate and he even gave me his name (Chris Allen) and ID number (TP27756). I told him I would do some research and if they want to call back tonight, and everything checks out, I would be more than happy to discuss things further. After reading the comments above, I'm guessing they won't call back.
Yup, call sounds like an individual is calling...but its just a message....calls over and over....claims to be able to reduce your interest rates.Since I have NO credit cards at all...definitely a scam.....
Just got a call from "Rachael" about lowering the rate on my credit card, but I don't have or use credit cards because that's a scam that happens to be legal. I went ahead and pressed the appropriate number to connect me & asked them to put me on their 'do not call' list. The representative ***g up immediately which led me to this site. I suppose its a scam, but I don't see how they're stealing any money because they're not very convincing. As long as there are people around who are trying to get so****ing for nothing, there will be scams like this and people who fall for them.
talk about frustrating. my number is very similar to the number that is calling everyone. only difference is 2 numbers are reversd on mine. so the annoying part is i have people calling me back, upset about all the call they are getting. well i am now well over 300 calls my self. now i am getting vcmls will discussing comments and text messages. i get calls all day and all throught he night, and now i am the one who has to c****e my number? which is more frustration seeing as how i am trying to get my own business s****ed. who are these people? i have clled verizon because it is a verizon cell phone as well as mine is and they cant do anything.
When I answered a foreign sounding man told me our family had won a weeks trip to the Ba*****
Getting these calls all the time, just let the ans. ma****e pickup, I've complained but nothing seems to happen at the do not call registry.
When I answered an automated voice told me that we won a family vacation and all i had to do was press 1. Pressed 1 and then asked to be removed from the list. They were calling my work phone. No idea how they managed to get that number.
I received the same call. I didn't answer it. I am on the do not call list. Thanks to everyone that posted before me for all of your research.
THIS IS A SCAM!! THIS IS A BOILER ROOM OPERATION!! Receive calls daily and I'm on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY. Comp calls themselves CREDIT CARD SERVICES claiming to represent VISA, MC, DISC and various Banks such as Citibank, Chase, Wells Fargo, etc. Comp claims to represent my card issuer while attempting to pry information from me on who my card issuer actually is. Deal is for them (for a one time fee) to negotiate a lower APR from my card issuer. That you can do yourself for free. IF they succeed you pay them monthly the difference between your original APR and the lower APR. For example IF they lower a 15% APR to a 6% APR you pay them 9% (the difference) and the Bank 6%. Bottom line you are still paying 15% APR. What is the sense in that??!! When I pointed this out on one call THEY ***G UP. When I told them I could negotiate a lower APR myself for free on a second call THEY ***G UP. When I asked on a 3rd call for the Reps name, location, real company name, etc THEY ***G UP. I file a report after every call with the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY for violating my privacy.
I got a call just now, at 5:21 EST in *****chusetts. Don't know anyone in AZ, but decided to answer 'just for fun'. Got pre-recorded message from "Ashly" about "my credit card account". SCAM, as is widely posted and known.Post complaints to the DoNotCall List (www.donotcall.gov/complaint). Its the only way to point the Feds onto investigating these CRUD-****ING S***BAGS.
Credit card scam and I am on the DNC list.
They just called me, I am in TN. No voicemail left.
Definitely a scam and they never give up. And if you report one number, they use another one.
I'm in Mass. My home phone rang and Caller ID reads "Cell Phone AZ" -- I answered and automated voice s****s right away: " Hi this is Rachel, regarding your credit card account *****amed card company), blah-blah, lower your credit card interest rate, blah-blah, consider this your final offer, press 9 to lower your rate...."So I ***g up.I'm thinking "scam".
