Leave a CommentIf baffles me why the cold call script s****s out with a blatant lie. Dear genius who wrote the script: you obviously think people are ******, which also means you're narcissistic. Good luck finding happiness.
Bob. as I said, the company works just within the boundaries of the law. In my case, the sales rep did not discuss the terms of the lease with me and in fact was deliberately deceptive, and I received no followup phone call. I was not left with a copy of the contract to review. I take responsibility for being too naive to read the agreement carefully and for trusting an untrustworthy individual. MFB leasing has over 300 complaints filed by angry merchants filed with the BBB of New York. Why? Paradigm direct has an F rating with the BBB. Go ahead and google MFB leasing and read what you find. What the company does might be legal, but it is unethical. Sounds to me like you work for them.
I am unsure of how a company can Rip-Off small business owners with signed paperwork of a lease costing X Dollars for X amount of months. Pretty sure the rip-off comes from the merchants who close their bank accounts and don't follow through with their commitment through over 7 signatures and 4 pages. Many of these merchants also must complete a verification phone call consisting of the terms of the agreement in which they must answer only way which is "yes" they understand. Can you please enlighten me?
There is not much that can be done--MBF leasing is huge, and they know how to rip off small and powerless merchants while staying just on this side of the law. The company was no doubt founded by a sociopath.I bought my way out of the MBF lease--it cost me a lot, but I didn't want the bad energy in my business--wanted to put everything behind me. Paradigm didn''t hold me to the 700 dollar cancellation fee, but I know they made a lot of money off the MBF lease I was tricked into signing. Not only did I have to pay thousands of dollars for a ma****e that was worth only $350, I was charged more for processing fees than with my previous company, which ran counter to what I had been promised. I opened a new bank account and cancelled the old one right before paying off MBF leasing because from what I have heard, they are not beneath continuing to make deductions. I am now a little poorer and a lot wiser. Sorry I don't have any good news for you.
Got a call from this number....asked for my name then just ***g up
Yah. It is happened to me. I was ******. Any advice how to get out this lease term or contract? Thanks a lot.
Oh yeah, I forgot to add.The pathetic girl that called me was being coached on what to say (not so subtly) by a gentleman in the background. I'd hear him say the first few words of a re****al, and then she'd s**** the same re****al he said but finish it out. For example, I'd say so****ing like...."I'm not sure why you keep calling me when I've told you not to and to remove me from your marketing list."You'd hear the guy say so****ing like, "You've been qualified..."And she would immediately s**** in with "You've been qualified for special non-retail credit card processing rates because of your exceptional business."He coached her on like 6 or 7 things to say, most of which made no sense. They are obviously sales tactics. their only goal is to get a live body to your store so they can give you the hard sell on why you'd be foolish not to switch merchant providers.A***n, just trying to warn my fellow small business owners. Best of luck!
I recommend that EVERYONE stay far away from this company. They keep calling me (despite my asking each time to be removed from their marketing list and to not call me a***n) trying to convince me to meet with "my merchant service account rep Amanda". Mind you, I don't have an account with them so I don't see how I could already have an account rep with their firm. secondly, they claim to be able to provide better rates than interc****e, which is just not possible. As any small business (or large business) knows, there is no negotiating the rates with visa, MC, Amex, and Discover. I suspect that they are trying to get people to switch providers, lock them into an expensive, and non-cancelable equipment lease. (Usually a multi-year lease for $100 - $150/month for equipment that would cost you $250- $300 to buy outright). This is a typical scam run on small businesses. You sign an equipment lease, see almost no c****e in your merchant processing fees, and are now stuck with an expensive equipment contract. When you call and tell them you are actually paying more for credit card processing than you were, and that you want to cancel the lease they tell you that they don't handle your equipment lease. (They sell your contract to a third firm right after you sign it, and that firm will RUIN your credit if you try to break the lease or stop paying your contracted amount).I really don't understand why this isn't considered fraud, or at the very least a deceptive trade practice. Anyway, you've been warned! It is now, and always has been "Buyer Beware!"
Business owners beware! This company is looking to lock you into a contract that will fleece your business of thousands of dollars! They use MBF Leasing!
They are hooked up with MFB leasing, which is notorious for swindling people. I should know, it happened to me. Stay away from this company.
This company is legit. There are a lot of legit companies that are resorting to cold calling since the economy is bad. Just because a company cold calls doesn't mean they are a scam.
Just received a call from this number.....asking for my boss by his first name....I said...he was not available then he ask me if he was calling a TV station...I said yes...he immediately **** up.
Calls us everyday, leaves no message
Yep, Paradigm Direct, who insists that my small retail business has earned the right to their non-retail credit card processing fees. I usually don't hear them out, but she was pretty convincing and I'm kind of bored in my little shop today. Anyway, seems to be all true what's been said already and add to that they are rated F by the BBB. I think I'll pass.
