Called my cell. Didn't recognize number, so I didn't pick up. I've been getting a lot of warranty calls.

I picked it up to stop the calls.  It is about a factory warranty on my car.  I told them I didn't have a car and the rep said that she would place me on the DNC list.  Oh--and I'm on a plan and get a ton of these calls!

Just got one from this number. I'm on AT&T prepaid. Interesting that I never used to get spam calls when I was on a plan.

This number called my work cell.  I have limitted calls incoming so I new it was ***ody I knew.  I didn't answer.  Now I read it was a good thing.

Car warranty idiots a***n.The Do Not Call list doesn't work with these people. When a registered telemarketer calls a cell phone, the circuit doesn't put the call through - instead it lets them know it's a number they cannot contact.These ****s calling about car warranties, home cleaning, zombie debts, etc. are all s****ing numbers. What they are doing is illegal. They are scam rings who got your number somehow and unfortunately there is no way to stop the calls. I've noticed, however, that the volume of this nonsense has greatly decreased over the past few months for me.

Marshall in Madison: NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER enter a do-not-call option for a number you don't know. If your phone is listed or number is traceable, you've proven to them that your number works. Same goes for "take me off your mailing list" email links.That said, they called me too. Didn't answer, don't know what they want.

I got a call from this number as well and they didn't leave a message. 412 551 5811 called me the day before and also did not leave me a message.

got private # call, I pick up, end up offering warranty....i ***g up asap...next day...this number call....i google...there u go...same ******ed person...

Its a shame the government can't step in and protect us from this.  I've received 9 of these type of calls in two weeks. Beware I've also received texts from so called Bank of America needing to update personal info.. I don't bank there!

got a call on my cell, this is the 3rd odd number on callingmy cell phone this week. After the 1st one, I signed up on the do not call.gov site but it must take some time to activate.

Same here. They called and didn't leave a message. This is the 7th strange number to call me this year. WTH ! How are they getting our cell numbers. It's annoying !

called my cell phone:  "Second...car warranty..' Earlier today I'd cancelled some monthly charges from Click Bank, Secure Home Club, Credit Inform, Superpass- - - did they send my number over to these people? There has got to be a connection...   Anybody else got a clue?

Anyone that gets annoyed with the calls, just store the number too a name like "warranty call" then go too that phoine number in your address book, go too options, and set the ringer for this number too silent, or ignore. Then it wont ring!

I got it just now, I waited to speak to who ever it was.  Car warranty sales.  When I asked the guy why he would call me, click.

They called my cellphone saying so****ing about a car warranty, but I'm not even getting my liscence for a couple more years its so ******.

This is a company that is called Warranty Services according to Tiveny the woman who contacted me. I played along to get the info since they'd ***g up the prior call when I asked for legally en***led information. In addition to the number 847-871-9025 which is the same number. Sadly, what they are doing is legal in the sense that they can call. My discomfort comes from the FACT that a few months ago they'd called and I asked to be placed on their no call list. About 20 minutes before I got this info someone had called from the second number (847) and when I asked the reps name and company he worked for and of course I heard "click." I returned the call twice and on third try got an answering ma****e. Left a message, "No more calls" and 20 minutes later got Tiveny. To block on many phones display the number in call history and press options ****on-it should allow you to put the number on a reject list. Two issues here for me, one I do not own a car! Second, how do they get a private, unlisted number. I think we have our carriers to shame and blame then? It is a***nst the law to continue a marketing practice such as this but then nothing is done. I understand that they are a working group of people but the company knows full well the law and obviously their employees do also or there would be no ****-ups. I plan on an article outlining this incident on Onetiredpup.com including the numbers in their search terms so that others may beware. I am fearful of those elderly to whom this scam may work. In our economy its hard enough, pulling this kind of idiocy is beyond my comprehension.

they called me that my car's factory warranty has already expired. I know that my warranty has not expired. There should be some way to block them

just got a call from this number called it back and got that same recorded message. its a scam by people who call about cars and try and get your credit card info. DONT TRUST THIS.

I hate these calls - I give my number to very few trusted friends and it really annoys me when I get random calls from these people.I was with my friend yes****ay and she was really worried because she kept getting calls from a number she didn't know and when she picked up there was silence at the other end...she was really worried that she was being stalkedby an ex. I told her to check the number on here and she did. She was relieved to find out it was a telemarketer, but furious at having been made to worry.

Same Same Same... Just the car warranty scam. Was told to just not answer it. Nothing can get done about it. (BBB)

I could not take the call. When I called by I got a recorded message with a phone system sounding message beginning with a tone and stating that all circuits were busy. But my phone said that the call got placed.

I've had similar issues with calls from this number.  I've contacted my wireless carrier to see if they can block the number.  Please do the same.

I am getting at the least 1 call every day from this numberall hours of the day and nightmy car is 10 years old. they are calling my cell number and using up the minutes I have on my phone to care for a child with autisim.I dont call back. But people at work look at me when my phone rings. I have to have this phone and I am tired of getting the calls.

I stayed on the line to "talk to a customer service representative" and as soon as I asked why I was getting a call on my OLD CARS. The guy ***g up. "Your car factory warranty is about to expire, please call to renew it."  Since I own an old 1994 Dodge Caravan with high mileage and no factory warranty, sounds like the old scam where they sell you a warranty and once they get your money you never hear from them a***n nor can you contact them.  SCAM SCAM SCAM

I got a call from this number on my work cell phone, didn't pick up and they didn't leave a message.  Obviously trolling phone calls.

got a call from this number twice in a row but did not answer the phone.  second time the caller said they were from a local newspaper.  they are in PA and i am in CA.  so much for local :-)
