Police beggers

They called and said they were from the Kentucky State Police and wanted money for a fund drive. I asked if the items would come in the mail. He said yes. But, he wanted me to commit now on the phone to a higher donation if it was not a burden. I told him I only do they fund drives through the mail. If he was not from the police, then he would have gotten charge card info for his own use... Ask them to mail it. He ended the call with "maybe next year." If it is coming in the mail I will do it this year. At that point, I was glad I refused to donate on the phone.
