Says: "WELLS FARGO ALERT: Tour CARD has been DEACTIVATED. Please contact us at: 503-877-6625." - Thing is I'm a UK exc****e student and bank elsewhere, had the phone for 10 days and not handed it out to anyone but my college. So they're doing well to be phishing me already!!

just called thestate attorney general office to report them they are aware of this and says they are using desposable phones and are out of state. and glad i didnt call them back.. and glad i reported them...but they are aware...

Received a text from these crooks today. I do have a WF account, but would only call this number if I knew a way to send someone to jail. Wish I knew some great hackers that could put a world of hurt on them. Called WF and they had me send the text to their phishing review site. Said they are aware. Would strongly back legislation to catch people like this and put them into forced labor camps.

I do not have a Wells Fargo Credit card, like the others listed.

got a text saying my wells fargo card has been deactivated, and to call this number. like the others, i dont have a wells fargo card.....

I got a text like everyone else. Called the number and got a computer asking for my card number. We don't have a WF card, so that was a giveaway. Two minutes later, my wife got a text on her cell. Same scam, different number.

9/12/11 received text saying Wells fargo acct deactivated. Call the 50-877-6625

My husband and I have both received texts, as well as several friends. One person did dial the number just to hear what they had to say. Frdziffel, you are completely correct, the first information asked for was the card #. The greeting sounded somewhat like all the bank greetings, but then, right to the card#. Needless to say, the call was terminated*****to.

Likewise. I just received a text message from 503-724-2839 reporting my card was deactivated and that I should call 503-877-6625. I was su****ious, so I Googled the number and landed on this site. No doubt if I call them, the first thing they are going to do is ask for my card number.

The number they called in on was 503-724-2839 the number they asked me to call was 503-877-6625 The text read "WELLS FARGO ALERT: Your CARD has been DEACTIVATED. Please contact us at: 503-877-6625."

got the text from 612-812-3874, with the 503 number as a reply number on 9/11/11. confirmed with wells it IS a scam.

They sent a text 2:42 p.m. 9/10/2011 saying my Wells Fargo Card has been deactivated. Sorry, I don't use Wells Fargo..... Get a real job!

They said I have a credit card from Wells Fargo, which I do not, and has been deactivated. They may be ID thieves connected to a 20-673-6598 number. Watch out!!
