The Waterford (CT) Police has taken a recent scam complaint regarding the following number - 503-902-8997. If you receive a call from this number, **** up. The number is "s****ed", meaning it is a fake number displayed on your caller ID screen, and could be from anywhere. The caller will ask questions about your credit card, and claim to be able to lower your rates. The fraudulent company goes by "Credit Card Services", and or "Card Holder Services". A***n this is a fraudulent number, and a fraudulent company, "phishing" for information. They do not care if you are on the National "Do not call list", they will call regardless

It is an outfit that uses a variety of phone numbers to try to obtain your credit card information. I blocked the first number that called with this pitch. It has taken about 2 weeks for them to realize they are blocked and now call from this number.

Called 2 of the 4 cell phones in my house so far. Don't waste time, spam or scam, either way, nothing good comes from answering.

She said most likely a spammer trying to steal your iden***y and Credit card Numbers, bank etc. almost like she heard this before!!

Never leaves a message, unable to contact. When you call the number it only says a Natl marketer called and press one to be removed. I heard this message before but from a different number. Reported to Missouri and Natl do not call. Think they are rotating numbers need a name.

Got a call and it was a recorded message from someone named "rachael" about credit card interest rates, I don't even have a credit card and I hope they do not call a***n but I was not about to stay on the line to find out who or what. If they call a***n I will, but I wish they wouldn't waste my time. Unless they have be confused with someone else.

I did press "1", so I could ask to be removed from their call lists, and if i continued to receive calls, I'd report them to the FCC. The kid quite snidely told me I'd need to report to the Attorney General. I immediately filed an online complaint with the FCC. We'll see if it does any good.

dont give them any info!! its a scam, i dont have a credit card but they said i called them... they call you and put on an automated system and then give you and option to talk to a real person, the persons tells you that you called them.. and when you say 'why are you calling i dont even own a credit card' they promptly **** up. call the number back and can not do anything but select option 1 to remove yourself from their list, and they still call back anyways..****holes!!

I've received a ton of calls from spammers about lowering my credit card interest rates - I don't even owe anything on my card, so this ****es me off a lot. I followed everyone's advice and called the number back to be removed from their list. Does anyone know if this has worked for them? Do you still keep getting the calls?

This is phishing attempt to collect personal information; DO NOT answer or call back; BEWARE!

After the recorded msg, "Pamela" came on. I was extremely nice and friendly with her so that i could get info about what this company is about. Almost right away, she became rude and informed me that I was speaking to her like she was 4 years old. I was using my regular voice! I asked to speak to her supervisor. She said, "this is your lucky day, I'm the 4th supervisor" she then proceeded to mock my voice, repeating what I had previously said in a fake, sugary voice. Right before she ***g up on me, she gave an odd, ******ic laugh and said to someone, "i have a dumb ***** on the phone". Credit Card services has called my cell phone so many time with so many different numbers, my blocked caller list if full. They are rude if you ask them politely to be taken off the list. I've reported the numbers, but they keep using new numbers. They should be sued. Their employees must be desperate for jobs to be willing to work for this company.

They called and I had the time so I went into a total BS story about how I am $80k in debt, at the end of my rope, need their help, etc etc etc. I make up as much garbage as I can and waste as much of their time as I can before they get wise. One time they called right back and I asked to speak to a supervisor. He came on and I explained that I don't appreciate the wasted time on BS phone calls and if they feel the same they should take my number off their list. He just said "understood sir, your number will be removed". This time they asked for one of the credit card numbers and I said it was in my car but I would be right back. I set the phone down and eventually they **** up.

Since the call is recorded, you can place a complaint with the "Do Not Call" registry even if you are not registered with them for the required 30 days. Anyone can file a complaint a***nst a recorded message. I just sent in a complaint and I see where several others have also. I pay for my cell phone minutes for MY benefit, not for spammers to use! I hope they find the company and give them a HUGE fine!

Remember if you're on the Federal Do Not Call list and have been there more than 60 days, it's a violation of law for them to call you. You can go to DoNotCall.gov to file a complaint by filling out a simple form.

I continue to receive pre-recorded messages from this number, and many others, actually, telling me my credit card is just fine, but that I need to call them immediately to lower my "credit card rate". The number of calls suggests to me that this ruse is an attempt to obtain as much information as possible about "smart" phones. Try not to answer calls like this and definitely do not respond by calling them back or "pressing one" to speak to an operator. And then file a complaint with the FTC Do Not Call List, even if your number is not listed on the Do Not Call List, since pre-recorded messages are no longer allowed. Maybe if we ****ard the FTC with this information from this useless "organization", they will attempt to do their job and stop these jokers.

I have received so many calls from this number, as well as others, and there is always a pre-recorded message, this time from "Rachel" telling me that my credit card is in order, but that I need to call them back "immediately" so as to be able to "reduce" my credit card rate. Do not call these numbers back or "press" "one" to speak to an operator since I am sure these annoying calls are an attempt to obtain as much information about your "smart" phone as possible. You need to report it to the FTC immediately, even if your number is not on the Do Not Call List, as pre-recorded messages are no longer legal.
