Yes****ay we got a message from this number after posting an ad for our lost Cat.  it said"still have it saw your ad on Criagslist"We were so excited to get a message because we thought this person found our cat.  After calling and texting and then looking up the number on the internet, we found that it is a scam.  what can we do to get this person.

I posted an ad sear****g for teachers for my workplace, and I got an email reply (below). I feel bad for people who don't realize it is a scammer. I had posted an ad on craigs list and listed my name and phone number.  Twice, in the early morning hours, I received messages making reference to the "***le" of my ad from 503-960-5749, then I received a message from 951-261-5939 with a message in french.  Immediately after the 951 text message, I received a message from the 503 number stating that they had just sent me a message in french with 5 numbers at the end and that I should reply with the numbers.  I did not reply with the numbers.  I alerted my provider and made sure none of my account settings had been c****ed.  They were phishing for a password or password-reminder code.

I had the same number text me this morning @ 7:56am. I was STILL SLEEPING! Telling me he'd pay .50 per ad for every ad I place in my area.

had the same problem but not sure what the scam is.  it is scary....

I dont know if this is a ligit ad on craigslist this seems funny to hAVE TO DOWNLOAD SO****ING TO TALK TO THIS PERSON

I also got a text from this person asking me to email them so that I can see pictures of houses available for rent. I got a message from that number and another message from another number (693-02) and they asked me to forward my pin code/ verification code to them...
