Leave a CommentI saw the missed call from this # and checked here. They did not leave a message. It was 8:00 on Oct 28. I don't answer calls from area codes other than familiar ones.
Voicemail lasting 0:13, seemed to pick up in mid-sentence. A female voice asking in Spanish for money.
haha yeah it is! nice detective work there guywithphone. although its pretty south its not quite spanish speaking yet. i definitely see how that could be confusing though.
it is a new orleans number that calls and speaks spanish? Isn't new orleans in the USA?
got a cal on my cell - no message left - probably some****hole telemarketer
Some one called from this number and talking in foreign language.
Random call from this number to my cell phone, no message left. Didn't pick up because of past experience, with perhaps this number, perhaps another (don't remember), where a telemarketer was at the other end, having received my name from a relative (thanks). I can see by the other responses that they received telemarketing pitches. Basically, if they aren't in my phone book, I don't pick up. If they know me, they'll leave a message and soon the issue will be rectified.
I forgot to add that the number was also listed below?? October 28, 2008 4:00pm call
A message in spanish said I was a winner of a prize then press One. I ***g up, we should not pick up calls with that area code probably lies anyways..
Remember that calling them back or pressing so****ing "to be added to our do not call list" only serves one purpose -- to tell them that their random-dialed call has found a real, live prospective ****er, so they can mark your number as such. Most often these calls don't come from actual phone lines... they "borrow" a legitimate number to use as a Caller ID number, but are actually originated from computers which hack into the phone system, in ways similar to the way Skype and Vonage link from a computer into the phone system.
Got a call on my cell was half asleep when I answered it, it was in spanish does anyone know who is making these calls
A recording comes on in Spanish, they speak too fast for me to understand them.
Received a telephone call from this number, the caller left no message.
This call came in on my cell phone. Service is w/Alltel. Did not answer this call - unfamiliar number. Glad I didn't miss anything. Blocked the number!
Same here!!! AT&T. Since I am in law enforcement some my calls are monitored. I will do some investigation.
I just now got this call. It was a man speaking spanish saying that I "qualified to receive thousands of dallors to buy whatever I wanted. The last four digits of my phone number could be used as a pin number, to receive your gift press 1" thats what I could translate of what I caught. He was talking pretty fast. I called them back and you can have your number removed from thier list. I hate this kind of stuff!
Had this happen to me also. This is my 2nd call from them. Has everyone here actually lived in LA or New Orleans at some point. This only s****ed after I went back to visit last weekend.
I just received this same call on my cell phone. I pressed the reject call ****on and filed a complaint on www.donotcall.gov since all of our phones are registered there.
I too got a call from this number.
this number just called me at 12:34pm. i didn't answer it and they left no voicemail. i have at&t. i googled the area code and the phone is registered in the new orleans area.
same here lol
Had the same thing happen as other posters..
I got a call from this number, it was a recording of a Spanish speaking female. I called the number back and a recording of a male's voice played. I have a feeling it's some sort of scam, where they ask you to press 1 and then these people can use your cell account to charge international calls.
I rec'd a call from this number at 12:13pm EST but did not answer it. I called the number back and got a recording of a male, speaking English but w/ a foreign accent. The recording said it was a travel related call and if I wished to rec'v some info they would call back shortly. It gave the option to opt out of their phone list, which I did.
also called me, twice. ***
I also received a call from this number, around 10:46 EST. I was asleep at the time, but now I'm glad I didn't answer it...AT&T Cellular BTW
Who was this & why calling? Talked a foreign language & was probably saying bad things!

I just got this call too, unfortunately I was scrambling for the phone and I speak limited spanish, but from what I could translate it sounded like the recording was asking me to press 1 to accept the call and that I will be charged for the call.
I got this a couple of minutes ago as well, I don't speak spanish, I would like to know what it was, and how they got my number
I received a call from this number today at noon. It appeared to be a recording in Spanish.
