A man called claiming to be from Entergy regarding an order of disconnection asking if we received a disconnection notice that was mailed. I said can you give me my account number he said no i am the disconnection dept. Then he gave a reference # and said to call 504-881-1018 to make a payment. The number shown 800-368-3749??
A man with a heavy foreign accent claiming to be from Entergy called our business re: an order of disconnection, confirming our business name and street address, asking if we received a disconnection notice that was mailed. He gave a reference # and instructed me to call 504-881-1018 to make an immediate payment. Caller ID showed "Unavailable" from 800-368-3749, Entergy's actual 1-800 number.
