Missed the call - caller ID showed number, but no name - just local.  On answering ma****e - no message just sound of air rushing or maybe water fall type noise.  glad I missed.  I have told them to not call before.

They use the classic telemarketing scam where they call your number without the slightest idea who you are and when you say "no one here by that name", they say "that's okay - we have the right number but the wrong name, and we can talk to you".  Every telemarketing lowlife uses that from time to time.  I just said, "no you don't" and ***g up.  Then I added the number to my call blocking list.  It showed up on my phone as "local call".

This number has called us before too. I dont' do donations over the phone. This time we weren't home but they've called before. The caller ID only ever says "LOCAL CALL"

What is wrong with this people, they need to stop doing this kinda of calls.

If you can't block the # at the phone company level, try this:If you have a fax ma****e on the line, setup their # as a junk fax #.  The fax ma****e will see the CID after the first ring, pick up the line, and promptly (and automatically) **** up.

This number calls at the most inconvenient times.  Sunday morning for example!  Who wants to field these kind of calls on Sunday morning?

This website is absolutely wonderful. Thanks to all of you for posting. As for FOP, of all the things I could donate to, it wouldn't be them.btw, Comcast phone service allows me to block calls. Comes with the service.

I have requested to be removed from this number every year... this time I was putting my newborn to sleep and they called and woke him up! Ihave reported them to do not call but they won't do anything! My number is unlisted!

Thanks for the intel folks. I've got a 'phone zapper/butler' and will let them listen to that. They aren't leaving messages on the voice mail, just calling repeatedly. My CID just says "LOCAL CALL" and the number; nothing about FOP fund-raiser and such.We've never donated to the FOP. Don't know why we would be on their call list....

The FOP continue calling after I asked them to desist. If I do answer, there's the sound of rushing water, but never a voice. It is also recorded on my answering ma****e. Previously I asked to be on their Do Not Call list. Calling them back results in a fast busy signal. I finally called my phone company for their****istance. Calls more than twice a day and more than three times a week seems like harrassment at this point.

TOTAL SCAM!

This has shown up on my CID at least twice before I answered it 3 days ago. They asked to speak to the name my phone is LISTED under but hasn't been my last name for years. That is why I knew this wasn't a legit call, especially since they asked to speak to Mr. or Mrs. "LastName" after I kept giving them the runaround. My husband has NEVER been Mr. "LastName"!!! I told him, that I wasn't that person (well, I am but I'm not!) and what did they want.Then asked to speak to Mr. LastName, I very truthfully said there isn't anyone by that name at this number. I asked what did he want, what was he selling. He got bent out of shape after the run around and said, I'll call back later and speak to them. Well, that won't happen! I'm so glad I decided to Google the name and did fine out what this was about!

The problem with those fundraising numbers is that they skim the contributions. They provide a service for a portion of the take.If the FOP would call themselves, I think they would do far better on donations. But I refuse to deal with any third-party fundraising organizations.I don't answer 505-514-0673

It is a Fraternal Order Of Police fundraising number.  If you let your answering ma****e answer the call, they just **** up.
