Robo call. I picked up the phone but didn't say anything. There was nothing on the other end, which means it's a calling ma****e.

I just got a call from these people, but I've never been to the UMass Medical Center. It's nowhere near where I live.I have been treated at some Boston area hospitals lately. I want to pay the bills, but I've been getting so many repe***ive, confusing bills in the mail that I'm totally confused about what I owe.I've heard that many doctors and hospitals will go after the patient if they are having problems with the insurance company, billing patients amounts that are covered just to save some clerical work.Does anyone know of a private or public agency that can help me figure out my bills? I'm willing to pay, but only if I'm reasonably sure that I owe the money.BTW, 2 of the hospitals I went to this year did a bunch of tests that were totally unnecessary. They did them only to pad the bill. One of them kept me in the hospital 2 days longer than I needed to be, and tried to keep me there one more day, because they hadn't gotten around to the paperwork. I had to have 2 relatives plus myself argue with them to release me.Someone ought to investigate.

This is a company that handles medical billiing for U-Mass X-ray. UMass needs to really re-examine how they use them. Its given U-Mass a black eye.We had received a call from them in the past. They demanded we log on immediately to pay the outstanding balance of ...wait for it...$2.89. Yes that two dollars and eighty nine cents. We didn't but we did send a check for the amount. A few weeks later U-Mass radiology sent us a refund check for $5.78.They send out so many statement so often it is very difficult for a family to sort out what is being paid by insurance and what has already paid for. In this case we paid it three twice and they still called us to collect it a***n. So they ended up refunding our second and the demanded third payment.My son needed a x-ray a few weeks ago. Mind you its been less then a month and these guys are calling us a***n. The insurance takes time to process and I pay all our bills on time. This time they are looking for ~ $30.00. I don't need to pay for what is already covered and pai******* Memorial Radiology  whomever is in charge of overseeing these rent a clowns needs to do their job and stop harassing us. Develop a realistic billing schedule.
