A person who calls himself Robert Jacobson with a foreign accent, says he works for CIL  He claims he has a lawsuit a***nst my ssn and do I want to know more about it.  He has been calling my direct work number, the front desk at work, and my home number.TOTAL SCAM.I decided to s**** calling his number, did this several times asking for his name and mailing address to annoy him and w***ver else is part of this.  After this, no more calls yet.

I keep receiving calls from this number stating that i never paid back a payday loan from a year and a half ago. the guy says if i dont make a payment by the end of the day he's gonna have me arrested within 3 days.

I recived A call from this number and was left a voice mail stating marcus wilson was calling from CIL Cental investigation and letigation. Gave me some case # and told me that i needed to call asap... My mother got a call from the same guy looking for me and told her that her name and number was now under investigation and that i had givin them her number as a refrence.... I do belive this has SCAM written all over it if you have any info on this please let me know.. Thank you

This is a scam and he is not a debt collector for a legitimate agency because the tactics that he is using are illegal.  I answer a switchboard and am dealing with the same ****.  He's overseas using voice over ip so there is little the authorities can do to stop him.  Educate yourself on the Fair Credit Act and you will see what he's doing is illegal.  He is even threatening me with arrest for refusing to put his calls through.  After talking to an employee and doing research online I can tell you that these people get your information off of fishing websites that they have set up.  They often know your information because without meaning to do so, you gave it to them.  One individual said that they filled out a form online for a loan and when they got to the end they realized it was a payday loan or one with an enormous interest rate so they declined the offer.  Too late though because they have your details.  C****e any phone numbers you are capable of c****ing and put everyone on notice.
