rec'd following text: "(9179356283) NCUA RELM message 585836.Please call 509-340-2436"; I am very su****ious of texts from unknown senders; did a Google" search, and my su****ions were confirmed. Thanks for all of the info...how do these people sleep at night?!
Got a text message this afternoon that said "From:[Unverified-Sender] (917547***8) NCUA VBRM message 679775.Please call (509)-3402436. Callback #:****547***8" I blocked my number, and called the 509 number and there was a recording saying that the FTC has disconnected the number as it was being used for a phishing scam. I called (a***n blocking my number) the**** number and a barely English speaking woman answered "Hello?" So I ***g up. I then called Verizon to make them aware that I had received such a text message, so they are on alert in case my account in anyway was compromised.
I received a text message from "UnverifiedSender" that read: (9176781611) NCUA QSZE message 552158.Please call 5093402436 I did not return the call or the text message.

I got the same text you all did, at 8.27am, but I have often gotten weird text messages like this and am very su****ious. (I don't even answer calls from numbers I don't know, I figure if it is important enough, they will leave me a message! So I'm not going to call these people! lol) Anyway. I looked it up on here like I always do and thanks to you all, I know for sure what it is. Thank you!
I got a text message saying: (unverified - sender) (9172182339) ncua djzx message 198318. please call 509-340-2436. It's a scam. They want you to enter your debit or credit card information when you call the phone number. Do not call and DO NOT enter any personal information.
My husband and I both got the message on different phones but similar numbers. Didn't call but read these postings. Thanks.

spam 2 texts from india
Received a text message from the following number (9171558733) NCUA VJMR message 373249 Please call (509)-340-2436 with a call back number of****1558733. The first number appears to be a VOIP phone number. I didn't call either number only because I did a reverse search and found this site with the information. I have a closed debit card account that I will use to see if I can't scam them instead. One thing the scammers are going to learn is "Don't Mess With Texas" or try to scam my fellow Americans. I am also reporting both number to the FCC, FTC and the FBI Internet Crimes Unit since they have sent this to my cell phone. Just a note of caution to y'all...do not call them back from your cell phone. Go buy a phone card and call from a pay phone.

Debit card spam via txt don't do it!
Text said to call the number. When I did, a electronic female voice said that my debit card had been locked, press 1 to unlock and press 2 to leave. I pressed 1 and the voice said to enter my 16-digit debit card number. I entered 16 random numbers. A male electronic voice w/a Brit or Australian accent repeated the numbers and I pressed 1 to show the number was correct. The female voice came back w/that is not a valid number. Hope no one falls for this one.
It is telling you your cresit card has been locked... It is a scam.... Report to your bank
