This is a scam. Craigslist ad for ps5. Told me to send bitcoin through cash app. Said he was out of town but would open the garage once I arrived and started the transfer. Fortunately I came here and read all the other comments just in time.

Same as everyone else here. Answered a Craigslist ad regarding kitchen appliances and was given the story that they were out of town and that I could pick up on my own. As soon as I saw that I looked up the number and ended up here. Stay clear.

Same as some others: had an Xbox on Craigslist, seemed pretty reasonable at first, but ended up with a “oh yeah, I’m out of town, you can come grab it from my garage that I’ll open remotely for you”

Same story as already posted … Xbox, CashApp, garage, gf. Noticed the address he gave me was newly listed as a rental. Looked up the phone number and found this site.

they said they are not home and asked me to transfer the money on cash app, then they can remotely open the garage door for me to pick the item up. however, funny things is it is not their home at all. The address they send me actually have people living inside and they inform me it's a scam and they have plenty people come by asking for the same stove already.

I got scammed. Pretty well done to be honest. It was an Xbox for me.

Met on Craigslist selling an Xbox, only wanted to sell via Cashapp (payment first) and asked me to come into his garage "while no one was home" to collect the Xbox. Brought his girlfriend into the situation as well to make me more comfortable as a woman.

Almost fell for this craiglist selling scam. They are very very good!!! If I did not google the number I would have been scammed. Thought it was fishy they only wanted to use cash app Now I know why no way to dispute People on this site that posted saved me from being the next scam victim!!!

These people are scammers and threaten to come to your house and kill you. Be very careful!

A woman claiming she has high end appliances for sale and wants a deposit sent through cashapp. She says her fiancee' (Scott) is out of town but there are others interested in the item and a deposit will hold it for you.

This is a scam. Attempting to sell hot tubs and appliances because moving "ASAP" and want deposit for items.
