Telling us that our debit card has been deactivated anf to call. We don't have the bank card

First message on my phone was: Your account has been frozen. Please contact us immediately. The second message was: Your card has been de-activated. Please contact us at 509-846-7016 to re-activate your card.When you call the # back, it asks you for your 16 digit account # & there are no options to speak to a representative. That in itself ought to tell you it is a scam.I replied to the text & said I would forward their messages to the Attorney General's Office as what they are doing is illegal.

just got a wells fargo text. so did my girlfriend. i googled it right away. knew it was scam.

Same as above.  I don't have a Bank of Whitman card (although they are a local bank), asking for info to "reactivate" card I don't have.   I'm forwarding this to the Atty general in the morning

I got two texts - one at about 6:30 from Bank of Whitman and then another about 8 p.m. from Wells Fargo - I do not have accounts with either of them!

I got a text from this number claiming to be from WELLS FARGO. I don't even have a Wells Fargo account.  From: 9222 stating my card has been deactivated - call to reactivate.

just got the Wells Fargo scam call--I was able to find out it is someone out of Omak Washington by sear****g it on the internet.  Hope no one falls for these fools.

Same message, different capitilization and different bank, now it is Wells Fargo.  Hope these post's are helpful to someone!

Got a text saying i needed to reactivate my bankof whitman card, two hours later, same number, but this time wells fargo. SCAAMMM!!!

I just go another one its now claiming to be from Wells Fargo.

I got this at 6:45pm too.  Pretty sure it's a scam too.

I just received the same message and I don't even have a Bank of Whitman card.  This is a SCAM!

I received a text that clamed to be from the Bank of Whitman and my card had been deactivated and said to call to reactivate. Yes****ay I received the same text from a different number so I think it is a scam to get credit card numbers.

this person sent my phone a text that said my wells fargo card had been deactivated and to call this number to reactivate it. I do not use wells fargo and believe this to be a scam!!!

Better Business Bureau has reported this to be a scam. Do not respond to any inquiries from this number.

Wells Fargo Card Deactivated scam

I received an email from 509-846-7016 stating I needed to call the Bank of Whitman at this number. The number orinates in Omak Wa. There is no Bank of Whitman in Omak nor do I know who sent a text to my cell phone when only my close friends have it.
