I looked into this number, it's some sort of free texting service that anyone can use. Most likely a friend or family member doing some sort of prank or testing it out. Still creepy though

They texted me*****o and the nickname that my friends and family call me, spelled correctly. No response to a request that they identify themselves. I have an abusive ex that has tried to contact me before, so this really creeped me out that some unknown person greeted me by a personal name. I can only guess it was spam, but I fail to understand the purpose.

I had the same experience. This number text me, said hi and my name (spelled right which is rare) and when I asked who it was they never responded. ***?

I dont know how they got my cell number. I am registered with the do not call program. I thought it might be a friend and wasted time wondering. I hate to be spammed like this. Its sneaky and dishonest and annoying!!!
