Sounded fishy from the get go. Kept saying he was from California when I asked what city. Careful when posting on Craigslist toooooo many scammer out there this one had some of the best grammar however.

This person texted me about a drum set I’m selling on Craigslist and I had pretty much the same experience as everyone else on this page...cashier’s check, mover’s fee, etc etc. 100% a scam

This guy text me about so****ing I was selling “OK. Nice price. I'll send you a cashier's check & include my Movers fee. deduct your pay, the leftover fund will be for the movers when picking up. Ok?” If anyone ever gets this, don’t fall for it!

Responded to a CL add and sent a cashiers check to me for 1950. Told me to take my cut and then pay the “movers” I instantly called the bank the check was “issued” from and he’s currently pending charges for fraud for doing this over and over a***n ! He won’t be out here doing this much longer

Texted from Craigslist about exercise equipment asking for me to cash a check for them then pay their movers in cash. I know the check will bounce a week later and I'll be out x amount. This is a common scam.

Sends casheirs check with extra money for movers. Texted on one number area code from AR and after several days claims he has a new number with CA area code "claims moving to California with fiance". The check was sent in priority mail from PA.
