Leave a CommentI received a voicemail from Ed, extension 518 from this number who knew my first name and obviously my phone number. He said he reviewed the resume I posted online which I never did and said if I was still looking for a job to call him back at that extension. When he said this was Ed, from ______ and the Company was not understandable after listening to the message several times. I was worried about ID theft then searched the number on Google and found this.
Been receiving calls from this number (I don't pick up) for 3-4 days now during the afternoon. Looked up the # on various sites and found this comment. I can confirm that I had recently joined the CalJobs/EDD site so I think this is where they found my number. -- Irish called about my resume. When I called back a lady answered and did not identify the name of the business. When I asked the name of the company she said they were a casualty insurance company. She the transferred me to a disconnected number. I called back a different women and a***n did not identify business when answering . She transferred me to an automated voice mail. Don't know what the deal is but I have NEVER sent my resume to an insurance company. I did run into a similar situation which was a scam and that had gotten my resume from Caljobs, which you are required to post your resume to the site in order to be compliant with EDD and recv benefits.
