I too have been getting these calls at the dinner hour - 6:00 to 7:0 - and late - 8:00 -9:30.

calls repeatedly after 8pm and leaves no message; research indicates this is a for profit collection agency (scam) for Texas Police, but the charity only receives about 10% of the donation, if any. These people are nothing but parasites.

Received call from this number at 8:30pm at night. Came across on caller id as "local call" and it is not local. We are on do not call list. Not sure why calling?

Caller ID came up as Local Call.......the number was 512-380-1925 which is not a local call.  When I answered the phone, there was NO response.  I feel sure this is a telemarketer calling.  I do not understand why we can not shut down these people.  Since we are on the NO CALL list.  It really ruins an evening.

I continue to get calls from this number and no one is at the other end. I have also gotten anonymous number saying they are police fraternity.

Let me tell you what this guy did.  Texas police officers****ociation, blah blah.  I asked how much of my charitable gift went to the TPOA.  He didn't know, so he got someone on the phone that did.  This smart elic, told me 20%.  That means, 8 bucks of every 10 you give em, they pocket.  He told me this as if it were the norm.  I told him, it wasn't the norm.  This is nothing more than a scam.  SCAM.

the person on the other line mis-pronounced my name.  when I corrected them and said "Hello?" the line went dead.  Very weird, and of course it didn't work to do a reverse-call lookup online till I entered the phone number in a google search bar.

The Caller asked for the business owner and when denied and asked who is calling, just ****ed up! If this is really the police, what kind of police we have!

The CallerID shows as "Local Call"...which it isn't. I believe that type of CallerID masking/s****ing is illegal for non-profits....

CallerID says "Local Call" which is a s****ed CallerID. Call originates from Austin and I am near Dallas. I believe it is a***nst the law for these telemarketers (including ones calling on behalf of charities) to s**** their CallerID. Person on the other end didn't identify the company or who they were. They just asked for the owner and ***g up when I told them the owner was in our corporate location.

Number is for the Texas Police Chief's****oc. calling for donations to some fund raiser...
