got a call over the weekend for a missing 10 year old boy who stood over 5' tall with description of race ethnic clothes was missing in the area. called twice within the hour. i just sat outside and finished my yard work and was more deligent about my surroundings.
It's a central Texas reverse 911 number. It is used to provide helpful and emergency information to the residents of a certain area.
got a call advising me about a fugitive in area it also was travis county sherrif department. Called the number back and it was not travis county sherrif though.
Received a call from this number last night. It was a message advising area residents that an elderly man was missing and gave a description of him and his clothing. Advised that if you saw the individual to contact 911 or the Travis County Sheriffs department. I think it's a legitimate number...similar to an Amber Alert system. They do a reverse call to selected areas.
