It has to be a scam.  I am getting calls to and honestly police officers do not arrest people for debt nor can you go to jail for debt.  It is also illegal for them to harrass you about it and to threaten lawsuit or jail time.  Keep any voice mails or emails you have.  Tell them to cease and desist all calls and to notify you by mail only.  Do not offer anytihng other detail.  If they are real they have your address and such.   Do not offer any account numbers either.  Report them to your state Attorny General and to the Fair Credit Act.

They are scammers, you need to report them to the Federal Trade Commission and the FBI.  They call saying you took out a payday loan and didn't pay and they are going to have you arrested if you don't pay.  They cannot arrest you, they are just trying to get your bank account information so they can wipe you out.  They are calling from India/****stan and use VOIP system to use all different phone numbers, I keep blocking one number, so they pick another number and call a***n.  I just keep blocking them.  My attorney told me, not to even talk to these crooks, they just want to get you on the phone and intimidate you.

Just got email saying I owe 545.00 on a loan or they are taking me to court

This is a scam.. there are a bunch of sites out there verifying this is fraudulent.  Dont worry.  They are scammers.

I just got a call from this number saying his name was Officer thomas willson badge number 0435.This is making me so upset. I'm trying to report this to an investigator now.

They are calling and saying they are from some law firm can't understand them, strong accent from another country but a Texas phone number. so****ing about your SS# and if you dont call them back you will be in trouble and they wish you the best in life.
