Leave a CommentCaller said they were Windows Technical Service and that I had downloaded hacking software which spammers were using my computer and needed to have them remove the software using their services.
Called 1109 hrs Monday 28 September 2015. Left no message. We ignore calls like this, as we are on the National Do Not Call list which obviously is NOT working.
Scam, don't fall for theae idiots
I received a call for a guy with a heavy Indian accent and I don't mean an American Indian. DID not give him time to say that much, ***g up
I got a call today from this number. The guy had a thick Indian accent. He said he was from "Microsoft technical support calling about, um, the computer. Ok?" The have tried this scam on my before, but this time he was very unpolished. He could hardly even get his opening line out with out stumbling. Kept saying "um" over and over. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM. Neither Microsoft nor their partners make unsolicited phone calls. These are called cold calls. They will not call call you randomly to offer help with a virus. Microsoft would only call you if you had initiated what is referred to as a "Ticket" asking them for help with a specific issue. JUST **** UP ON THEM if you get this call (or if you are looking for a little entertainment, play along for a minute and pretend you believe them).
Sean called, with a foreign accent, said he was my computer tech. Doubt they really are in Austin, could here a lot of voices in background. I ***g up......SCAM ALERT!
Said his name was Sean and he was my personal computer tech, I ***g up......scam alert!
