I called what I thought was apple customer service, to renew a Times subscription on my apple account. Next thing he was leading me around venmo, bit coin...lost my head...

I thought he was helping me at first but then when he asked me to go to our local drugstore and get a gift card for 300 bucks so he could scan it and return it back to me I’m stupid I guess.

At first he seem legit and he seemed like he was trying to help me, but then after over two hours he started asking me to go to my local drugstore and buy a gift card for $300 so he could scan the back of it and then return it back to me right away That’s when I hung up I think I already told him too much

Not spam. I had a scheduled call with Apple Support and this is a phone number ***ociated with outgoing calls from Apple's support center in Texas. They left a voicemail confirming a time for a scheduled call the next day along with detail about the support issue I was having.

Boy, people are stupid. If you asked for apple support to call you and someone calls you from apple support, it’s apple calling you! Support is frequently contracted out, so instead of calling you from their personal number, it’s routed through a system that ***igns a random call back. You being too stupid to understand how this works does not make it a scam.

I am hocked that his is spam. I was originally speaking to Apple Support who stated he couldn't help me and stated someone would call me within 10 minutes. Which he did and identified himself as Apple Care. He seemingly resolved my problem, but I foolishly let him guide me through( with Apple Support permission request. He did send me a link to my email.

i do believe this is a legitimate tech call back if you went through the apple support app

I’ve been dealing with this for months now and it’s getting worse. Been to the store a dozen times about this and get my phone wiped out each time telling me I have no hardware issue. Of course not but that is all they deal with. I can’t call 1-800-my-Apple because it never fails my phone is rerouted to a huge international scam business which isn’t Apple or possibly it is. Did not pick up. Called me twice in 2 days. Left me two voicemails I have not listened to. I am in Australia so they have no reason to call me

Call back for Apple ID issue. This number came up as Apple Inc. on caller ID when person called back.

Scheduled a call from Apple and they called right on time from this number. Spam protection from Verizon on my line blocks ****fed numbers by authenticating caller ID with STIR/SHAKEN. Legitimate call from Apple support.

I clicked on the link from within the authentic apple inc. phone app, and was directed to this number, due to the nature of my call I asked if I could call them back, and the man provided me apples legitimate phone number, after an extended per if legitimate would have been a reasonable amount of time to pull up it's number to provide for me.
