Leave a Commentyes you were listed as reference probably at the time you were working with this person..This is a collection agency I used to work with Eric and he lied to you ...This was a payday advance loan done over the internet for you****oc..that you know...Dont give them any info.....By the way Eric lied to you ...
I am a realtor and received a call saying I was listed as a "reference" for ******X (a former client, with whom I haven't spoken with in about 6 months). I couldn't make out the caller's last name or company name on the voice mail, but when I called back, I asked the receptionist what the company was called, and she said "Paramount". The man I spoke with, Eric, said I was listed as a "reference". When I asked if it was for a job, he said his company is hired by other companies to contact "references". He said he didn't have the correct number for **X and asked me to have her call him. He then asked me if she worked for ______(company). He wanted me to verify her address. I told him I didn't know and that I wasn't comfortable with giving out any information. Told him I would have **X call him back. This is very odd--I doubt my former client would list me as a "reference", so I'm wondering how Paramount could have possibly made the connection...are they sear****g MLS records?
So Mr. Smart Guy..how do you explain the people calling from this number asking for me when you I am only 16 years old and have no bills, and no care in the world but what outfit I would like to wear to school tomorrow, or how my valedictorian high school s***ch will turn out? Uhm, yeah figure that one out and get back to me, Mr.SmartGuy.lol

Got a call from them just now. I was looking online to see who it could be and this is the first site I came across with any type of description. They left a message, said they got my info from Career Builder and were offering me a "customer service" job.
So Mr Smartguy, how long have you worked for these losers that keep calling us? Did college not work out for you?
lol...all of you for the most part are idiots...this company paramount recovery services are legit and are backed by the better bus bureau in ohio..The company on messages doesnt have to leave there company name on messages and until you asked them specifically there name they by law dont have to tell you....If you wondering how they got your phone num and youve been divorced by 7 years heres your answer....Accurint....there are several info internet systems out there that provide you with family members new addr old family members etc.. most of the time its pretty dead on ..on finding either the person they are looking for or someone linked to them ....as for saying wrong number and its really your number...lol its really easy to go on whitepages.com do a rev num search and verify that the number is correct..legally you cant sue them for harassment if your really the person or spouse of who they are calling for...Lol also debt collections is a very lucrative business.. Most debt collectors are averaging 30-40,000 yearly and thats just the tip of the iceberg..How can you as a consumer complain about people calling you trying to get the money you owe them ...Its a business nothing personal....I guess the m**** of the story is pay your bills and the phone calls would stop
When caller was informed that our facility does not allow employees to take collection calls, the caller told me that she was not a collector! Doesn't seem to realize that I have caller ID and an internet connection so I can verify these things.
They are calling me about my ex wife and we have been divorced 7 years. I do not know how they got my unlisted VIOP phone number!!
I have been getting missed calls on my cellphone from a 513 area code number. This time around, someone in a very sweet voice left a voicemail message addressed me by my first name (which I state in my voicemail message greeting) and identified himself as Ben but did not say from what company. He said it is urgent he talks to me and gave an 8773366577 (ext 21) number to call back. It sounds like a scam because why would he not identify the company he's calling from; I also do not have any outstanding debt that has not been paid nor am I late on any monthly payment (I AM QUITE OCD about making payments and keeping my finances in order) so it can't be a real collections call. Any idea who these guys are? I don't want to call back because it has bogus and scam written all over it. Thanks!
Called 23 times in the course of a half hour on the caller ID, which is blank. By law, Collections are required to identify themselves and their purpose. Did not leave message.
COMPANY KEEPS CALLING!! WONT LEAVE COMPANY NAME. THEN WHEN I ANSWER THEY THREATEN TO TAKE ME TO COURT. CAN THEY DO THAT WITHOUT PUTTING SOMTHING IN WRITING FIRST?
Don't worry about these idiots, just tell them that they have the wrong number and remove you from there database, even if they do have the right name and number, tell them that they do not and stick to it, most collectors are idiots and they cant get a real job. TRUST me it works!
They are Paramont(?) Recovery Services.
WHO are these people? They (his name is Chris at ext. 23) just called my 94 y/o grandmother and THREATENED her to get info on me!!! If anyone knows who they are or who they represent please post.
I also received a call from Mrs Thompson and that I should "voluntarily" call her back. She didn't want to bother me at work. That's funny, because I work from home and this I'm sure is the only number they have on file for me. If this credit card company hadn't *****ED me over when I was ONE day late (by upping my percentage to the full 29.9999999% which at least DOUBLED what my normal payment was) I would be happy to pay. I asked them to work with me but they won't. I already paid off my debt in interest alone anyway. Write me off! LOL
Received a call from Ms. Thompson- she said that she wanted to try me at home before SHE CALLS ME AT WORK!! Didn't say who she was with or anything- just to call her back beofore 5:00.
all collectors threaten legal action but this is to try and scar you into paying the bill. The collector will get a percentage from the money they collect. I use to do investigations for a collection agency. the only way they will sue is if the amount is over a certain amount and you have****ests where they can place a lean a***nst your property until you pay the bill off.
Called and told me about a delinquent account for my husband. I advised her that he wasn't home and that she should call back when he was home. I told her that we keep our finances separate and that I had just left the doctor and was supposed to stay in bed so that I couldn't get up search for a pen to write down her number. She didn't believe either (true) claim and said that neither were believable. She threatened legal action.
