DO NOT CASH ANY OF THESE CHECKS!!!! FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD!!!They scammers will want you to cash the "check" and keep most of it and send them a couple of thousand dollars via a wire service to an overseas address.  Since the check is bogus you will be on the hook for all of the money.Take the check and letter, etc to your local police or bank and let them know it is fraud.

I got one of these letters and a legitimate looking check for $2,920.00.  I took it to my bank and the teller looked at it and took it to the manager, who confirmed the check was fraudulent.  They kept the check and said they were going to report it. This is obviously some sort of phishing scam that works so****ing like this:  They hook you with the smaller check, then, having confidence in their legitimacy you call them and they ask you for your account info and SS# so they can "wire" you the big prize money directly to your account, then with this information proceed to empty your account.  BEWARE!!
