Leave a CommentJust received a call from this number. Man with a heavy accent mentioning so****ing about $1,500.00 and asking for my husband by name. I could not understand him very well. (I did not tell him I was his wife.) I said he wasn't in and I could take a message and have him call back. He asked for my name, and I said that I was taking a message for the person he was calling and he did not need my name. He then said he would call back later and ***g up.
An obvious scam attempting to get personal information:Man with strong Indian accent gave a name and company (which I didn't catch) and said they had $1500 ready to deposit in my account, was I ready? What did they need from me for the money? "Just some information." After inquiring 3 times about who he was with, he replied "Cash America". He had my name, address, and phone number, but wanted my email address and my date of birth. I replied that I don't give my birthdate out to people I don't know. He said they just needed it for verification, they were "Cash America, the largest company in America, you can trust us with your information". My reply: "You're just going to give me $1500 for nothing?" Yes, directly deposited into your bank account. He kept pressing for the birthdate, which I would not give him. Finally, he said "F**k You, F**k You, F**k You, ...".
Med/RX Scam
Called and asked for my husband regarding so****ing about $1500 (he had a heavy accent... hard to understand). He had our address and asked me for my email address ( I did not give it) and my husband's employer(I didn't give that either). He asked when my husband could take a call, and said he'd call back this evening... It's not a collector as we have no late bills. If I get further info I'll comment tonight.
