As for the self-righteous "UAREALLPARANOID*****S" in this f*cked economy (to a great extent caused by greedy loan corporations, who have lied to many peoplem, and induced them to take on laons they can't afford), there are many people that do live within their means, but when they lose their jobs and can't afoord to pay is when the troubles s****. Many people are well aware of, and still try to meet their debt obligation, but simply cannot do this if there is a much reduced or no level of inco*****ese idiots that call and harass people should be outlawed or at least very much restricted.

They need to be told to go away and die painfully. I set them up on my phone call spammers list, and they get told the number is out of service.

Check on ***le 15, Chapter 41, Subchapter V of the US Code. Almost all of your answers are there.  As far as the times the calls can be placed, I quote from 15 USC 1692c "In the absence of knowledge of cir***stances to the contrary, a debt collector shall****ume that the convenient time for communicating with a consumer is after 8 o’clock antemeridian and before 9 o’clock postmeridian, local time at the consumer’s location"

I  kept   getting calls from this #. I found this forum and called the 800# listed. Turns out they were looking for another with my name and born in another year.I was told they would take me off thir list. We'll see.Thanks to the person giving the 800#

I got my telephone number in April.  Previous number holder had bill collectors.  They keep calling.  How do I make them stop?

i got the same call from 1 515-453-2972 claiming i owe them money.I called my credit card company to investigate and write a letter to them to provide me proof that i didnt owe any money at all, as my online statement is zero.Can anyone tell me what's the address of the General Attoney office people were talking above. I want to write them a letter about CBE group and other collection agencies i received.email is [email protected]

Ok so these people call me at least 6 times a day, sometimes as early as 8 am, and its truly frustrating. I have come tio understand that this is a debt collection agency but this is the strange thing about it all, I did not, nor do I currently own a credit snd/or debit card. I don't understand at all why I am being harrassed daily, its not fair to me at all. Can anyone help me make these calls stop once and for all? I feel as if I have tried everything in order to end the persistant nagging of these people. I have told them repeatedly that they have the wrong number and its getting to the point where it is extremely hard to be polite with them, I don't even know what they want. I'm sure you can understand how unbelievably frustrating this is for me.

They Have called our home phone for the past 2 days. 1st call I answered, which on the caller ID showed it was their 3rd call. A woman asks for John, and of course there is no one that lives here in our home named John, so I say you have the wrong number. I was in the process of ****ing the phone up and I just happened to here her say his last name. and of course I do know this person it happens to be my mans nephew., so I say yes I do know that person, but he does not live here. actually he doesn't even live in this state. She continues to ask If I could give her his #, but I don't do those sort of things, just give out peoples #'s especially when I don't know who is calling. I did take a message and told them I would try to get in touch with him and give him their #. So her name was Jody and she gave me a 1-800-665-5315 #. Well I did contact John and let him know. Low and behold the next day a man calls here and says Johns first and last name please. like I had lied to the woman the day prior. I rudely told him the message had already been given and that they would be contacted. I spoke with John and he said they were trying to collect money for Zales the jewelry store, and the only problem with that was, he had already paid that bill a pretty good while ago. So who knows it couldve been some 1 that use to work for the Zale and they stole info at that time. who knows the World is so full of evil these days. and look how much we r being punished for being americans.

To "Uareallrealparanoid*****s";  my credit report shows that I haven't missed a payment since the beginning of my report in 1986.  So, even though I've paid all my bills on time for 22 years, I continue to get these annoying calls on my cell phone (and they charge me for that) looking for someone with the same last name as me.Am I being "*****y" and need to "get over" myself when I constantly receiving a barrage of annoying calls by some company looking for someone who merely has the same last name as me?  It wouldn't surprise me if you worked for one of these companies and are merely "trolling" this site.  By the way, in my experience someone who uses terms like "f**ked up, and who ends every sentence with several exclamation points is obviously either poorly educated or is no older than 12 years old.

Be polite and pay your bills...then you'll either NEVER have to deal with these people a***n or, if you do, it will make your contact with them as short as possible. Quit acting like kids and complaining about ever little thing!!!! Everyone in this f***ed up country is SO *****y!!! Get over yourselves and quit spending more than you can afford and there would never be a need for these people!!

My post above.  My husband decided to call the 515-453-2972 number to find out what they wanted.  The gave us another number, 1-800-665-5315.  He called and they wouldn't tell him anything except they had some business with me.  I called, and they wanted to verify address.  They had the wrong address.  Then they wanted the last 4 digits of my ssn.  I wouldn't give them that, and I was told the calls would continue if I didn't give them the last 4 digits, so they could rule me out.  I got REALLY flared up, and was passed to a supervisor.  She then asked the same question about address, and also asked about DOB.  Supervisor was much more professional that first flunkie, and said they wouldn't call me a***n.  I am going to make sure of that by filing a complaint with my State Attorney General's Office.  The papers are in the mail already. I am very confident that my rights were violated.  The name of the company is CBE Group, and they are a debt collection agency. Don't let them bully you, especially if you are NOT the person they are looking for!!!

This number called our house today.  When my husband answered, a recording came on and said so****ing about pressing #1 to connect to a person.  We have gotten calls like this before, and have reported them to our State Attorney General's Office.  Probably a collection agency looking for someone.  Despite what they say, they DO NOT have the right to harrass anyone!!!!

The same number 515-453-2972 has been calling and calling, leaving incomplete messages, saying "hi this is Dave," etc. I finally got fed up and called that number and a man named Randy Peterson picked up. Claiming he had important personal business to discuss with my mother, a mentally ill senior citizen without any credit cards or accounts in her name.  When I demanded he tell me who the call was for, he gave several names that were close to my mother's but not her name. So I told him he had the wrong person and wrong home. He sounded a bit intimidated, apologized and took his leave. But I've gotten similar phone calls from other agencies looking for a woman, a***n with a similar sounding name to mine, etc. Where do they pull this stuff out of? Thin air? Are these legitimate agencies?

They kept calling my house and leaving a message that said "hi this is Dave" and then it would stop.  Finally the other day it left the full recording with the number 800-665-5315.  I called back and they were asking for my ***her. I don't even live with him.  I told them what I thought of their constant hassasment and the guy said they would take my number of their list.

I get a call from 515 453-2972 every day from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm. I don't know who they are and they will not give me any information. It is harassing and disturbing.

They called my sister who is married and doesn't have my last name and lives in a different town looking for me stating it was a "business matter". How did they get her number? I have never recieved any messages just went through my caller ID and saw this number.

They call my mom's and she has told them not to call a***n, if they can't disclose the nature of the call, they do not pay any attention, and keep calling every day. I am going to have my attorney return their call.I dont even live in the same state as my mom, and they call her, it is very disturbing as my mom is a senior citizen and not in good health.
