I have received 5 calls from this number, this person remains on the line while i say*****o, with no response.

same here. i just got a land line installed through time warner, i've gotten that same call 5-6 times one day, no response, and have been calling since.

Just got a new phone number and received 12 calls on the first day. No Messages were left, no one answers.

We get calls several times every day from this number, no one says anything at all.  I will investigate and give them a run for their money.  If they are affiliated with the Daily News, then they as well should be aware of the fact that someone is using their name for subscriptions.

They called me a***n today to confirm subscription order. I asked if they would be removing my number from call list now that I subscribed. She said yes, so we'll see. By the way, I got her number from caller id - 516 861-2210, so we now have another number to call and complain at these spam calls.Anyone gets more info on this be sure to post so we can stop these *******s from calling us.

Here you go folks, enjoy.I just got a call, Sat 10 Am. They usually don't answer but this time, they did. They said they were from the Daily News and if I wanted to subscribe. I played along and said I did. They knew my name and address already and would give me 10 weeks for $1.80 per week. I didn't have to give any credit card info so I said yes to keep them on the phone.I got their names, Veronica and her 'supervisor' Steve Anderson.  They also gave me another number to call 800-692-6397 that is for customer service. I asked about the 516 453-5594 that showed on my caller id and they said not to call that number.I asked a few times what the company name was and they kept say Daily News. I asked if it was a different company that sells subscriptions and they said no, it was the Daily News.So there you go people. Call the 800 number and blast them. Threaten to boycott the Daily News if they don't stop calling you. I am going to also but I did sign up. Hey, $1.25 a week for 7 day delivery is good. I pay that just for the Sunday paper.And they got my name all wrong so I probably won't pay them at all. Ha ha.
