Leave a CommentBeware of these people may have me very scared that I owe the IRS money. They said they were calling from Washington DC but when I Googled the area code it was a New York number. This is 100% a scam.
They said i had neglected to report all of my income after they had randomly audited me. They also said that I had a warrant for my arrest. I told them that I would have my accountant contact the IRS to settle it. I also told him I thought it was a scam after I said that he continued on with his spiel about how I owe the IRS money. He was happy to set me up on a 5-year plan to pay it off.
