Leave a CommentAfter filling out a brief questionnaire on ehealthinsurance.com, I was contacted by someone at PJP Health Agency of Melville, New York. I spoke with someone named Donald Ulrich at PJP Health Agency. He said he could get me in a group health insurance plan because New Jersey has some law that states people in a certain age group or risk factor can be considered a group. I began to become su****ious because I have never heard of that. I am a realtor and even realtors are not considered a group in New Jersey, otherwise I would already have group health insurance. After Mr. Ulrich began to really pressure me to give him my checking account number, big red flags went up. I told him I needed do***entation with a plan summary so I could lay this plan next to the plans I was considering from other sources. He then said that the way they save money is by not offering copies of the plan. I said well what about a website link? He said no. I said how can I make a decision about healthcare when I can't compare the plans? He said well you have car insurance and you don't know everything about that plan either. He began to get very impatient and said he could post date my application and I would have 10 days to accept or decline, but I needed to give him my bank information immediately. I asked him if I could come to his office in Melville and meet him in person. He said yes, but said that it would be a long ride from New Jersey. I finally just had to **** up on him because he would not stop saying he wanted my bank information.
My phone number is 608 797 5039 STOP CALLING ME!
I want to thank everyone on this thread, you have saved my mother a lot of money she doesn't have and a lot of grief & aggravation. My mother received an e-mail yes****ay about "affordable health insurance quotes," she filled out the online form and within moments received a call from a charismatic man named Chris M. (Direct Line: 516-918-5748) he spoke with her at length about her health issues, medications and what he could do for her; she can get insurance for $133 a month with an inital payment of $283, she fell for it and gave him her credit card number, he told her he'd call her back the next afternoon to fax over her paperwork and card, etc. We received a call around 8:30 am this morning from 516-918-5700 and didn't answer it because NO ONE calls that early in the morning. Thinking so****ing wasn't right, I looked up the number online, found this thread and immediately told her about the scam. She called the credit card company only to find that the charge had already gone through. The credit card company reported her card as stolen and told her to wait till she received her statement in the mail, circle the charge, fill out a fraud form and send it back to (hopefully) get a refund.Since 8:30 am this number has called 4 times and not left any messages. She learned her lesson about "too good to be true" e-mail offers and will be very careful in the future.I want to thank you all a***n for taking the time out to post on this thread, it saved us a lot of heatache.
Some ****** filled out an on-line inquiry for health insurance using the name Jane Smith, thinking she made up a phone number so she wouldn't get calls. Well, that number just happens to be my boss', so yip*** for me.
also, if you have call tracing, *57 or 1157 on your local phone service, you can activate this, & it tells the phone company that this call is a nuisance, is also reported to the phone company as a spam, & to the annoyance call bureau division of the phone companies.
This is a company that calls after someone checks to see what plans can be afforded through "the Heritage Plan" commercials on TV. This is just one that have call me, another was RDK Insurance, so be weary folks, if you give someone your no. they will give to other companies in a matter of seconds.
this number called me around 9 am in the morning. i had to say*****o over and over a***n before they finally answered back. and when i asked who it was they ***g up.
FOUR numbers called me asking for "Amara" or "Amar". The following numbers that called are: 843.414.2098 ; 631.465.8100 ; 516.918.5700 ; 212.665.6800. I filled out no survey or insurance claim online. One number left a message saying that they're calling to give me "the best deal ever" in "insurance deductibles" and that I have to "act fast or lose (my) chances" of getting it. He left his name as "tony" and an 800# that i didn't pay attention to, with the extension 210.I'm wondering as to how my number got out there. (Since I never fill out anything online - unless it's secure) Check with your phone company to see if your number was made on a public list. Then see if you can make it a remove it from that list.
I too, like the others here didn't reaqd the fine print on the online form. I was trying to get quotes on what I thought was a BCBS website - surprise, supposedly BCBS is a sponsor of their site. Then I immediatedly received a call from US Healthcare. I asked for them not to call me back. Then the person on the other end wanted to know if i didn't like black people. I once a***n asked them not to call back (ignoring his statement). Then he asks if I am a racist! That I must be a racist if I didn't want to do business with him. Two minutes later I receive a call from 516-918-5700
