last week rec 2 calls offering insurance deals , told man to take me off the list and not to call a***n. just received 2 calles in 1 hour from same number tellinf about an offer from the yellow pages a***n i said i am not interested and to take my name off the calling list...like it will help...thank God for caller i.d. i will not even bother to answer when i see that number

Received my FOURTH call today from these non-Americans who are just astonished that I wouldn't want my free business listing with them.  I also tell them to never call a***n, and that I don't want my free business listing, and after I yell at them a little they **** up without saying anymore.  Annoying.Today I played with the caller a little before unleashing on her, and that was kinda fun.  "A free business listing for *my* business?  Wow, that's really great!"  And then I let her have it.Tried calling the number back and, of course, it's not a working number.  Go figure.  I was going to offer them a free kick in the a**.Just a note to those who say they answer and no one is there.  Next time that happens, wait about 5-10 seconds.  They're in a call center and when a call is answered it transfers it to their available calltaker (callMaker?).  Then you can unload on them.  Apparently they're not used to people in India being uncivil, so it's a learning experience for them.

The caller claimed to be from the "United States Online Directory".  Additionally, the caller sounded as though he was calling from India.

Received two calls from (517) 465-8561, picked up phone but no sounds. NO name displayed as caller id, only the number. Search whitepages etc. came up with no results, only area code Lansing Michigan.Tried to call back but got 'number disconnected' message.Spoke with operator who advised that although we got that message, the number is a trunk line that allows calling out but not receiving calls.  ???Reported as prank call.
