I recived 3 phone calles from a Officer John smith and the said there was a criminal investagation a***st me and my SS# and I asked for what and he could not tell me anything he did not want to hear what I had to say so I just told he to loss my number and ***g up these people have nothing else to do but call and bother you but be aware ask Questions and don't fall for there sceem it's not real

I received calls from an officer Nick Thomas and an officer Richard Johnson on different days, both stating that they were from the bureau of criminal investigations­. They said a criminal complaint had been made a***nst my name and my social security number and that if I did not pay 300.00 by six today that they would file charges to have me arrested at work or at my home. They wanted me to give them my debit card numbers. I did not do this. When I asked the name of the company that they represented, Nick Thomas s****ed raising his voice and said Cash Advance USA. I have never taken out a pd loan with them. Nick Thomas and Richard Johnson sound the same with the same accent. They called my job and told the secretary that I was under a criminal investigation. What can I do? They used phone number:518-594­-1391

received a call from Nick Thomas from criminal bureau investigation for cash advance loan never made and threatening my arrest in "30 mins". As with the other c/o noted above it was comforting to see that I wasn't the only one approached. Somehow they had some old credit card information b­ut couldn't give me any "account information or deposit information".

i recieved the same call from a fake officer james bell on my voice mail stating it was a legal matter from bureau of criminal investigations­,im not ****** when i saw the new york number i called him back and s****ed asking him questions before he asked me i could barely understand him hes from ****stan my boyfriend talked to hima nd intimaidated him asking what law firm hes with so i investigated where hes from...theres no such office called bureau of investigations at 1220 washington ave as he claimed he was from hes a telemarkerter from acc national telecom corp. ny so is that thomas guy and the so called dispatchers i called my bank to for security leaving a note that no transactions are to be made for any cash advance or payday loans i am to be notified...u should do the same.. tell them u know who they are and you file a complaint with the attorney generals office...

I just received a call from "Office Jason" with the Bureau of Credit Investigators stating that I had a very serious matter that I needed to address and if I did not take action then I would be arrested at my place of work or at my door stop. Phone number to contact is 518-217-8694 ext 210. I've had phone calls like this before and they are very mean and harrassing. They will call your work and cell repeatedly. It is very disturbing and rather frightening.

I just had a call from a guy by the name of Jason Vell who transfered me to a Frank Harris who was trying to collect on a cash advance loan. Trying to get my debit and credit card information. When I asked him if I got the local FBI on the line with us to verify who this person was and asked questions about what this company was he said never to call him a***n and that he was sending people to my work to arrest me. The number to call them was 518-217-8694 ext 210.

This person called me tonight on my state job and left me a message threatening that I will have a lawsuit a***nst myself and I would lose my job. I just happened to call the number back and its not even a professional business.This person says his name is Nick Thomas and he works for the The Department of Criminal Bureau Investigations , this person is trying to defraud people. This really upset me.

I received the same threatening call today from Officer Jason Vell. He told me I did a cash advance in early 2010, he had all of my information, but the account number he gave me was not mine. When I asked for further details he did everything possible to not answer my questions He also threatened to send the police to my house and arrest me, and I suggested he do that.

I just received a call on my cell and let it got to voicemail for I didn't recognize the number.  A man w/ a heavy accent left a message stating he was an officer for the dept of crime investigation and needed me to call back w/ my SSN.  Yeah right!  I just went through this hassle w/ them posing as a law firm calling my job.  I put in a complaint w/ the Attorney General's office and the calls stopped at work.  Now they are posing as officers calling my cell.  What a pain in the toosh....Don't give any info and report them...

Both my hisband and I received a message from an Officer Nick Thomas from the Department os Bureaus of Criminal Justice. He was calling on a fraud a***nt an advanced payday loan whicH i have never done. He had a lot of personal information on us. I told him that I didnt know what he was talking about and the he threatened to file charges and the cops would be coming to arrest me,

They called me and was posing as an officer of the law, requesting my social security number!

A supposed officer Ball Smith in New York called my wife saying I was under criminal investigation for a pay day loan from the ba*****. ha ha funny never been there.
