Yes this *****s me up that someone in NY is really trying to say he's "officer Eric Smith" yet he sounds very far from being an Eric Smith.  He CLAIMS that he has 3 federal cases a***nst me and that he is going to have an arrest warrant issued for me and to expect a knock on my door in 1 hour and may god bless me in jail.  lol what *****s me up is that he's calling me a fraud and a foney and all that stuff but isnt it a federal crime to impersonate a representative of the law?????  Since the number is based out of NY and per your comment "NY police detectives are looking into this case" should I contact the detective bureau based out of NY?

I RECEIVED 2 PHONE CALLS  FROM AN OFFICER DAVID SMITH WITH A PHONE # OF 631-647-0673. HE SAID I MUST CONTACT HIM IMMEDIATELY.  HAD A FOREIGN ACCENT, DID NOT LEAVE ANY INFO OF WHAT HE WAS CALLING FOR.

I recieved one from (AKA...Officer Patrick Bell.) This is way out of control....

I am getting the same calls, from ( Officer Patrick Bell )...... I am so sick of these people calling me. I just lost my mother on Aug.14,2010 they called the day of the burrial and spoke down on me. What is up with this? If anyone know's who to contact in Troy New York about this please, please let me knmow....

Just got a call from 5182386002 and they asked for a totally off the wall person. When I told them they had the wrong number I told them I would not give them my name but be sure they had the wrong number. They asked how long I had the number and I said 7 years and ***g up

I got three calls from this number.  All were from someone with a Nigerian Accent and an English-sounding "Officer - so****ing" name.  This area code is in Albany, New York.  The calls were coming to me on the west coast before 7 AM.  The third time I got a call from them I told them I had already  contacted the New York State Attorney General.  They ***g up on me.  I have not heard from them since.  I suggest that others do the same thing.

The same person (foreign accent) has been calling for about a week now pretending tobe various people, even a police officer from the Bureau of Investigation. Each time heuses a different name, Mark Thomas, Eric Wilson, Patrick Bell, Officer Don Johnson,etc.. He rambles on about my friend who defaulted on some financial application and Iwas listed as a friend. If I didn't pay the balance (which he never told me what it was),that an Officer would be at my door within the hour to arrest. " As you can see. Th**** a very serious matter", he said in his broken accent.After laughing, I informed him that he has been calling a secured line for HomelandSecurity and we were curious as to how he obtained this number, and incidentally,this call and subsequent message are being recorded and traced as a standardprocedure to prevent internal ********* attacks. We ask him to please call back atleast two more times so as we could confirm his New York Verison number. He***g up without saying anything.....

i received a call from Troy Ny5182386002 three times today coukld hardly understand him said I was under invesigation for so****ing Ireceived these cals at least 3-5 times  a month slways the same thing

I just received a call from this number 518-238-6002 telling me that i have 3 federal cases a***nst me.  The men have Indian accents giving the names of Officer John Smith and Officer Mark Thomas.  I told them that you are not American why are they using American names.  He told me that my local sheriff's office will be at my home or office to arrest me.  That i have committed fraud and i will be arrested. Please let me know if there is so****ing i can do to help stop this harrassment.

This fraud people are on a rampage and calling evan police officers that they are police officers. They are going to be nailed down as they had too much of fun.

I  received a call from (518)238-6002 from an officer Erik Smith from NY investigation department stating that i need to return his call as soon as possible because there is a case a***nst me, also he has a indian accent this is a scam the secret service has complains a***n this people.

These people keep calling and harassing me then they said I commited some sort of fraud. Basically I am getting tired of this and the authorities should get them off the market.

My wife has recieved 3 calls on her cell phone and at least 1 call to her employer from this number. The man has a heavy Middle eastern accent, and he claims his name is "Officer Patric Bell" with the "State Investigation Department". This is a "Pay Day" loan scam. He claims a lawsuit has been filed a***nst you, he can only produce a partial number for the SSN, etc. I listened to all 3 messages on my wifes phone and verbatim, all 3 were word for word. It's obvious that he is reading from a "Cue Card". People beware !!! If you are contacted by these people, DO NOT give in to them. Contact the appropriate authorities. I hope this helps anyone else who may read this post.

*** my co-worker called me frantic today, that Officer Eric Smith from Troy, NY investingating a fraud case that I was involved in, and that I gave her as a reference, too!!! I tried calling the number back and just got a random extension voicemail. I have been SICK all day about this, totally ruined my Labor Day! So glad to see this is a scam (although I feel really bad my elderly co-worker was affected). Number was 518-238-6002

At 6:18pm i received a message from an Officer Erik Smith from the Bureau Investigation regard a complaint a***nst some one close to me.  They claimed that I was named as a referrence by this person close to me and that I must tell this person to call them immediately or I will have theses so called legal affairs affect me.

these people are rude swearing, threatening the police and arrest got it all on tape and submitted complaint with FTC VERY threatening

Man with a VERY heavy middle-eastern accent states that he is an officer calling aboout a legal matter. Also calls family and tells them the same thing. Thgis is a collection agency from a payday loan. Violating laws, will file a report with the FCC

pretends hes an officer-with a heavy Indian accent I believe this is Ameriloan , NOT a police officer but uses scare tactics anyways

Just got the same call.. I get them a couple times a week at my office.. NICE!!! Sometimes I let them talk.. and when I have time I ask them a bunch of ****** questions... Sometimes they **** up out of pure frustration.. other times they said I will have a police office at my office to arrest me for 3 federal warrants in CA.. Hey ******* I do not live in CA... I just keep telling them that I am still waiting to be cuffed...

just got the same call but he was asking for one of my employees and it was a call from Officer Don Wilson, saying he was from the State Investigation Department
