I received a phone call from a hearty sounding man stating he was from United American Veterans this AM. It was from phone number ***-***-****, a Los Angeles number. They were asking for donations of $50, 40, 30.00 for veterans. They wanted me to send them money through the internet or debit card. I love veterans, and do not usually give to them, but decided I'd give them $20.00. He then put me on the phone with a woman who didn't know I had said I would give $20.00, an asked the amount I would send. She then wanted me to send money through my credit card. I told her I wouldn't do that, so then she wanted to have the donation through my debit card. I said I will not do that either. She told me her company wants to have the donations paid that way.
