We had a similar experience in Arizona. Trying to rent out a house that was not for rent. We reported to authorities as well. Names****ociated with this are Chandra Burns; Yorou Abdul; T**** Bessire. We spoke with a man who said his wife just had heart surgery and the day we were supposed to be shown the house they were conveniently in a car accident. Glad we didn't give any information.

THEY ARE CALLING AROUND CLAIMING TO BE A LADY NAME CHANDRA BURNS AND ARE TRYING TO SELL A HOUSE ON 434 EVEREST DR CEDAR HILL TX SAYING IT'S THERE HOME AND THEY ARE RENTING IT TOLD ME TO SEND $500 AND I WAS APPROVED PLEASE DO NOT DO IT THEY ARE A SCAM!

They are trying to steal people's money by renting out a house that doesn't belong to them.

I had a similar experience, had a listing on Craigslist, claimed to be in Texas and wanted my info + social to do a credit check. Wouldn't send him my social, he said it was OK he would check without and once approved would grant me access to the house. Got "approved" then said I needed to send him the 500$ security deposit to have access. Very sketchy
