Leave a CommentLeft three bogus civil complaint messages in two days. Very amateur quality, definitely fraud.
I received a pre-recorded message indicating a merchant had filed a claim a***nst me for a returned check. I immediately ***g up and contacted my bank because I very seldom write checks. I was advised there were no returned checks in my account history for the past year or so from what the representative could say. Further research would take additional time. So I already figured it was a scam at this point. I called thenumber back and "Lisa" answered the phone and asked for my name. I refused to give my name, only the number they called for identification purposes. NeeNeedless to say, she ***g up in my face so I called right vack and she was extremely argumentative and stated she couldn't give me any info without my name. O told her she could tell me the name of her company without violating any pricacy laws. Mentioning law seemed to throw her for a loop but she still refused to give info. I told her clearly this was a scam so I would be reporting her and this number to the proper authorities.
I returned a call from his number after they left a voicemail claiming that a vendor is filing a suit through them for a returned check. The gentleman who answered said "Hello?" instead of any kind of formal or company greeting. He had the last 4 digits of my social and my full name (probably purchased the SSN) and tried to transfer me to another paralegal...legal jargon lite at best. When I asked for his full name and his firm, with a number for my actual attorney to reach him, he kept repeating "My name is Mr. Russo" and finally said he will do***ent me as being non-compliant and have the attorney take further action. He may have been intimidated that I actually have an attorney and gave up on trying to intimidate me. This is clearly a scammer.
Fraudulate debt collection agency. Refused to provide me with company name and mailing address before ****ing up on me.
