Daniel pretended to be Harry Oppenheimer on Match.com. Had quite quite a nice picture of a 77 year old. I liked the pic & sent a message on Match. He responded promptly. He(Harry) had no data on a search. But emails provided reasons, : had lived outside the USA for 69 years, since age 7. And recently came to P***nix after losing his wife. He had had mostly contract jobs in the airline industry, and now lived in a rental AirBnB apt. He belonged to no social websites. He had perfected all the necessary things a person might want to know, with sanded dialogue. Really smooth. When I researched the reverse phone number look up, turns out that Harry doesn't exist. Instead he is a 34 year old living in Parker, AZ using POBox. I reported it to Match. What tipped me off was speaking on the phone & the voice sounded weird, like there was a cover over the mouth piece, and the conversation was not congruent with the emails. This kind of fraud must stop. There are too many lonely people out there who may not do the background checks. On one search site, the phone number first showed up, then disappeared. His picture of this nice looking gentleman, also disappeared from Match. How do you handle such instances? If you do a follow-up on this, can you keep me informed. This is why a good search site is necessary. But I know of seniors who have gotten caught up in these scams and lost over $65,000. Thank you, Alyce-Anne Meadows. 623-934-9971. a-ameadows@***.net
