When this type of scammer texts such phrases as latest bill processed, thank you for your order, your application has been approved, etc. he/she doesn’t necessarily know it it applies to you. What the scammer is hoping is that if it doesn’t apply to you, then you might be tricked into thinking someone had stolen your iden***y and that you will call and voice a dispute. If you make that mistake the scammer will pretend to verify your iden***y. That will give the scammer a chance to steal your personal information.
