I recieved 2 text from this number with the name Amanda offering one day free add. Daily drawing of $500. My name is not Amanda. It says join to confirm but doesn't give the option to STOP.

This may somehow be tied to another scam involving online college degrees. I have been getting calls for months for somebody named Jacob, which is not my name or that of anybody in my family. This SMS addressed Jacob by name and promised the same free ads and a chance to win $500. Note that area codes in the 5** series are legal, but not location-specific services still under the au****es of the FCC. Like everybody else, my number is on the do not call list, but these ******s are getting through.

Just got a text message stating, "Tommy", which is not me, you are invited to One Ad A Day - A Free Daily Drawing of $500. No purchase required just your approval for 1 text ad a day. Reply "Join" to confirm. So****ing needs to be done about this. I added my number to the national do not call registry over a year ago and still getting stuff like this.

Do not under NO cir***stances reply not even stop as you will be charged.Just delete and call your cell phone company and report it so you will not be charged. I called At&T immediately and reported this and was informed that even reading the message can create a charge on your billso they made a notation in my account to take charges off should they appear.I am on the do not call list and also have purchase blocker and still continue to get these text messages.This is the 3rd one in a month all different numbers and messages.The federal goverment needs to do so****ing about these scammers and put them in jail.
