This number called my phone 3 times in 5 hours. I do not use Geico insurance, thus they have no legitimate reason to contact me. I did not answer and subsequently have no idea what this company wanted with me.

For all the people who think this is a scam #... NO IT'S NOT!!! It really is Geico, and this department calls you when your policy is set to lapse or expire due to non-payment. I know this for a fact, as I was unable to pay 2 years ago, and they called, and then again this year, and they called. I've spoken to them BOTH TIMES, and I promise, it really is Geico. If you call their regular #, and they claim they don't know who this # is, then they're idiots, and can't figure out how to look up the right department!

I got a call from this number, and instantly recognized it was from Virginia.  While I am a GEICO customer, I was glad to read these notes and know to disregard any calls from this number.  Thanks, all.

It is a courtesy call from Geico, letting you know your vehicle insurance payment is past due and that your insurance will be canceled very soon. The call is purely a courtesy, and is after a 21 day grace period on your non-payment of your premium. It is not a debt collector, prank or telemarketer.

It's Geico insurance...when you dial the number the first thing it says is "thank you for calling Geico"

There's an option nobody has considered.  It IS a legit number for GEICO, but the calls aren't all actually coming from that number.  Somebody is spoofing that number so people will believe it's GEICO.  They are then trying to get credit card info to "make an overdue payment".  If they just happen to hit someone that does have a GEICO policy and owes money, that poor sap will probably give up the info.  It's an identity theft scam!  If you ever get a call like this, don't give them info directly.  Instead contact the company to find out if it's a legit call and make ayment arrangements with them.

I am set up for automatic payments from Geico. I have a zero balance on my account and I get an automated call that says I need to make a payment immediately. I already complained to Geico Supervisor - this is unacceptable

i just had to comment again...i was sooo angry at geico for calling and not leaving a voicemail...im with that one guy, CA?? up there.....i try to really screw them over....yeah!!!  put em' on hold and make them pay those long distance charges!!!!!  Get em' good...make em' suffer!!!  when times are tough, make em' tougher for those jerks!!!! geico...why i never!!!!

They call and do not leave message. I am on the no call list. I do not answer calls that do not leave messages. I would even possibly return call if it was collections but they do not leave a message so they can keep calling...I won't answer.

540-286-2500 called me about 5 times on saturday.  GEICO would make sense, since I just dropped them. they should leave a message, but then again if they had good customer service maybe I wouldn't have gone to progressive.

If they are calling for policy issues, then they should leave voicemail.  That is not a very good way to do business or customer service.

Strange call, no voice message.  Thursday 16 October @ 1:20pm.  I figure if they want to talk bad enough, or it is some kind of urgent matter then they will leave a message.  Since no message, then it must not be important anyway, especially not to me.

Received a call on my cell phone when the home phone or husband is the one who handles GEICO -- no message left is always a symptom.

Its a payment reminder or if your policy is about to get cancelled due to a non payment; late payment also applies.
