Leave a CommentJust got a call from Jim re: the vehicle I'm selling on CL. He left a message. So****ing didn't seem right (unavailable caller ID; no voicemail when I returned the call), so I googled the number and arrived here. Just for kicks, let's see what kind of cars he's interested in. Mine is a 2001 Honda Passport.
I just got the same thing, so guy answered with indian background, kept saying hold on one second, weird
same thing happened to me just right now, jim left a message i called back and ....you know
I just **** up with the mother flicker! It sound it to me like a scam so I just **** up on him.
Jim left me a message asking for more info regarding my truck for sale. I called the number back and it was a man with an Indian accent that said he represented a firm that matched people with vehicles and "Jim" wanted a vehicle similar to mine. He asked for my e-mail address or contact info and I turned him down so he gave me "Jim's" e-mail address: erikadlg0***ahoo.com. I repeated the address to him and he told me that the seller's name was Erika? I thought it was Jim? Anyway, I will not be contacting this number or e-mail address any further because it seems like a scam of some sort.
I received a voicemail from "Jim" wanting to know more about my car for sale. I called back and Jim wasn't available so I spoke with a male with an Indian accent. I questioned him about who he worked for and he stated that it was a company called Advantas and they were based out of VA. Same thing with 'representing buyers' and 'having a buyer for my car.' However, he did provide me with the email address of the 'potential buyer'. I haven't research the email address yet, but will probably just throw it away.
JIM called me yes****ay, about a car I have for sale on craigs list...exact same thing as others recounted above...except Jim was not available when I called back, got a woman with Indian accent... Jim stepped out, but we represent buyers..... I clicked off at that point.
"Jim" left a voice mail for car I am selling in P***nix, called back and said they were an agency with "buyers". After asking the name of the company several times, the "rep" said the buyer was already satisfied. What is the scam exactly?
Jim left me a voicemail for a vehicle I am selling in Alberta Ca***a. He said he had some questions about my vehicle. I searched the number and read about the scam, I'm not even going to call him back.
Just got a call from a Jim with a message that he is interested in my vehicle. I have a vehicle posted on the internet for sale. Im playing along with the scam and will report to FBI so he gets caught before someone falls for this scam.
I just got a call from this nut too. His name was Jim. Beware! ******ia people don't want Wisconsin cars!
There are other blogs about this guy jimlol, this guy is crazy. Notice how close in time all of our posts are too. Look at the other blog sites. Just google this phone number!!! Its kinda funny now:)
I had the same call, "we have a buyer that is interested in your vehicle" I instantly said that I was not interested, and ***g up. BEWARE!!!!!
"i have a few questions about the vehicle that you are selling"
Ok, got the email, they gave me an email address for this 'potential buyer' its an AOL address, nothing comes up on google.
Got a call from this number with the typical "my client is interested in your vehicle scam." Beware.
