I immediately called my banking ins***ution and infromed them of this text and gave them the phone number. They said do not call or text this number back or answer any phone calls that I do not reconize with this 540 area code.

I got a text from 540-405-9099 at 9:34pm on 1/21/13 with the message: "THE CREDIT UNION CENTER ALERT: Your CARD has been DEACTIVATED. Please call ******8-1489"
Bank scam... report any text messages received to your local police department!
It is a spam number I got a text with message to activate your deactivated credit card. Please do not supply any info to them.
