Malware. A random text msg on phone; "MSG: (some 4digit#) WellsFargo Alert" saying I need press this "8662179193" link in message. FU dude! Message deleted.

Just got a text from this number. same thing as everybody else on here has said. saying that my card has been deactivated. well i dont even have a Wells Fargo account. So you arent gonna get anything from me!

Got a text from 5412284278 with a bogus wells fargo alert saying to call 360-334-2701 which looks like a pay as you go number.

Total scam. Reported it to Wells Fargo.

I received a text from this 541-228-4278 saying "WELLS FARGO ALERT: Your CARD s****ing with 4868 has been DEACTIVATED. Please contact us at: 206-427-9512." I then received a phone call (which I did not answer) that the caller id showed only "618". I do not have a Wells Fargo card...

Definitely a phishing attack. They know that Wells Fargo cards begin with 4868- (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Bank_Identification_Numbers#Visa_.2848.2A.2A.2A.2A.29) and are hoping that they get enough people that bank with WF (e.g. I do) to call in and give them account information. If you are here, hopefully you already know, but always call in via a well known number for any financial transactions, don't let them call you, or direct you to an unusual number.

I got the same wells fargo alert. Was sent at 1:45pm

got a txt from this number indicating "my CARD s****ing with 4868 has been deactivated. Please contanct us@ 206-427-9512" When yu call that number, the voice mail prompts to you to enter your account number.... Sound very su****ious. Can't talk to anyone @ either number.

I got a call from them saying our credit card was deactivated!!!

I got a message today from 541-228-4278. It said WELLLS FARGO NOTICE: Your CARD has been deactivated. Please contact us at: 503-593-4107. I am not a wells fargo customer. I did not respond..
