Got the same call about timeshare Fraud Taskforce.  Ignore them!

Thanks, I got this call too, but didn't call back. Now I understand what it's about. I have a timeshare in VA also. Glad I googled!

They gave me the same story about being some recovery task force going after people who had been *****ed over by timeshare sales companies or advertising scams. I asked them  how much it was going to cost then they told me a 60 40 split. I s****ed going off on the person about how they were misrepresenting there company as an actual sort of police force or government ***nch. Then I realized I was wasting my time talking to these people and told them so. We had listed our timeshare for sale with timeshare hotlist.com. they took us for $995. Anybody else? Wish these type of companies could get  what they deserve.

they called my house also asked for me but i wasn't home and talked to my son. he said that it sounded like they were fishing for info regarding our time share. when i got hme found their # on caller id  and called it back said they were a fraud taskforce and were trying to get info on fraudulent companies offering to sell our timeshare. sounded fishy after i talked to them. but gave them an earful about 3 companies that we have been *****ed by. said they would call back later. i seriously doubt that they will since i told them companies are under investigation by state of ******ia and all 3 being sued by ******ia.

We also received a call from an agency supposedly investigating telemarketing fraud and they stated that they thought we had been a victim.  Return number was 561-***-2914.  Since we haven't purchased anything from a TV ad or phone solicitation in a long time, we didn't call back.  Sounded su****ious.

Claim to be from a recovery task force believing I am a victim of telemarketer fraud. Very su****ious they way the person just ran through the statement as fast as possible to try and call as many people as possible.
