I called that number there was a recording saying it's SSA.

Just received a call from her ....asked my name...i told her to F-O.....lol. And id call her back.

She asks your social security number and asks mother maiden name.

Said they were so and calling about application I sent for help with prescription cost. I never sent such application.

Claimed to be SSI. CallED from private CELL PHONE number. Incorrectly used my middle name. SSI WOULD NOT make this mistake. Claimed they didn't understand my paperwork and very dramatically said “oh well i’ll just file it the way you indicated unless you call me back”. I have filed no additional paper work… DON’t fall for it!

7-3-2025 I was contacted today by the same number saying they are my case worker and that they won't be working for SSI anymore but they would still be taking care of my account still, and to call them on their cell phone?, Who says this? What do they think everyone is that ******.

This person called me today pretended to be a social security worker. Not going into detail but social security will be call and informed of this. Phishing. Got caught off guard. Just glad the internet works two ways.

Said I had sent an application in for help with prescription drug cost and needed additional information. I DID NOT SEND IN ANY APPLICATION FOR HELP WITH PRECRIPTION DRUG COST!!!!

said they would call me back as the message abruptly went silent after she said her name. I called the number back and got nothing but a recording. This should be illegal!!

Said there was missing information on a form but he he said he was going to file it as is and no need to call back

Told me they needed additional information for my claim but don’t bother calling back they’ll process the claim and if I have any further questions to call this one 800 number that happened to be a spam number also

A lady by the name of Sophia said that she was with a Social Security Administration and she had one question for me that I forgot to fill out on my form. I am not on nor have I applied for SSI.

I filled out an update application. She said I forgot to fill out the dates to my recent health procedures. I asked her if she was really with the SSA. She said we can **** up and I can call her right back. She just wanted to confirm my address and the dates I received my procedures. My gut find this strange. The call came from (******1-1296, Pennsylvania. I wrote it down. I live in Georgia.

This was not a Spam call, It was about a application for meds that i sent to them they needed more info about. Once a***n NOT SPAM!!

This caller was NOT a scammer, 100% nice. I just applied for Social Security retirement and just went online to the official Social Security website.The number says PA but caller is from Richmond Ca.Im looking at my PC right now and it says” A Representative in Richmond Ca s****ed your review today on Feb 22-2024 and may contact you directly.

That I answered a question twice and they need one answer but she has to verify who I am first.

It was extremely hard to hear, ****led, broken up like bad service. "Hey this is (I couldn't hear the name). You didn't finished question number 4. Need more info. Don't worry will get it through some how. It will be okay. Will process it. Don't have to call back. Will get it done."

I verified that it is legit. they did not ask for social. but they did call about my pending application. once the conversation was over i looked on the SSI website and found that my case was approved 12/13/23 (today). i knew my case was being handled in Philadelphia and i asked her what state she is in. she knew my ss amount as well.

Called to state that they needed to update my information. I called Progessive and they said that they do not handle updating information that way

Called saying they are the ss admin and that they have been attempting to call me, They said I should go to website. I did not letters were there no problems listed. SPAMMER!

This is the exact message left.“Hi this message is for Sonya my name is Wendy I'm calling from Social Security administration for Pennsylvania I'm calling because we received your disability update report and additional information is needed however since I was unable to reach you by phone I will be submitting a report to the process as it was received once it is in processing if additional information is still needed at that point someone will be in contact with you there's no need to return my call but should you have any questions in regards to this I can be reached at 1-800-775-7802 at extension 3133 9 AM in the office Monday through Friday from 6 AM until 2 PM Eastern standard time thank you…”

Said I had signed up for Social Security s****ing next year and my claim was being denied because it was too far in advance.

They gave me their full name and extension number in their voicemail. Simply said that they are sending me mail with additional information they need regarding my medicare application. Purely informational and sounded fine. Definitely did not sound like phishing.

Got a call saying she was with social security. checked the number &it was 100% unwanted caller with comments as far back as 2012. She didn't want to hear the comments which I read to her. Don't think I'll hear from her a***n.

Asked to speak to my husband. I said SSI doesn’t call us without a letter. Then my husband told her he didn’t know what this is about and she said fine I will file this the way it is and ***g up on him.

The man said that there was so****ing left off of my Social Security form and they didn’t understand it and they had to ask me questions but to verify who I was I had to tell them my address phone number full name and they called me at 8 o’clock in the morning and once they got what they wanted they ***g up

She gave her name Debbie and she was from socsecurity office in Pennsylvania. I live in Texas. She said she had a question frm my application. She kinda sounded weird over the message she left me. Very matter of fact but strange in a way.

This is the second call I have received from "social security".I got in contact with the real social security who said they had not called me and that to be careful of scams regarding social security, even if the caller ID says it's them. They are not doing any calls right now.

This was indeed a real call from the SS office inquiring about my Medicare application. The lady did not ask me for any confidential info other than my name, dob and proceeded to tell me I needed to visit my closest SS office to fill out a name c****e application. It looks like this number has been s****ed many times but in my case I actually applied for the insurance and gave my phone number and the lady gave me her full name.

Received a call this morning saying that my form was incomplete. I questioned who they were, he said there was no way to confirm if the call was legitimate. I could call the social security office but it would take two hours to track down "Dan"; the only name he was willing to give. I said I would not give my info and he quickly got off. I call the ss office and the****ured me there were no incomplete forms. The number was unfamiliar to them. They always give first and last names, identifiable number, and other specific info to****ure that it is indeed from their office. DO NOT GIVE Info!

This is the Social Security Administration. It is usually about a form you may or may not have filled out properly in the past and they are calling to confirm whether you recieved the ew replacement or to ask a few follow up questions.

CC I got the same call 06/26/2012 and it just didn't sound right so I said the s.s. office doesn't call people. They write a letter. The number was ******1-1296

I got this call on 10/18/10 around 6:30 pm, from a lady indentifying herself as someone from SS office. It was kindda strange for getting this call after office hour, so i just ***g up after a few seconds. And she called back a***n right after that.
