Asked if I was a specific person, I said no then they said sorry to bother you. I hope you have a nice day. I told them thanks, you as well. Then w***ver it is asked for my name so I didn’t respond.
legit
Late today, March 18, 2021, received exact same info. It overall sound legit but WASN'T. Having someone else review info realized it was a scam. Didn't send the $1,625 to release the check for $500,00 !
The caller said I had won 2nd place in a sweepstake and would recieve $500,00.00. After talking to the attorney she said I needed to give her $1625.00 security deposit right then. I then told her I needed to talk to my accountant, and ***g up. She then tried to call me back but I didn't answer.

that i won sweepstake, 2nd place winner of $500,000.
said we won $500,000 and wanted a check for $1625 and the winners check would be here tomorrow.
Claimed to be calling from an attorney's office out of Alexandria, VA, that we won 500,000 dollars, and would be taxed, but then wanted a $1625 security deposit. Total scam.
"Attorney", David Morgan conformed that I won $500,000 and that I had to pay $1625 before they could release the check.
